I'm 30 this year. Haven't been study for so long. Am interested in ACCA. Not sure if I'm too late to study and work as an accountant.

Do you guys think 30 is too old to study ACCA and get a job (since they would prefer fresh graduate that are youngster) ?

What i wonder was if they penalize for calculation mistakes? I think I'll make calculation mistakes under exam time constraint and therefore not getting the balance sheet balanced.

P7 qs 1 lenghty, qs 2 killer , qs 3 doable, manage to write up to total 84 /100

How's P7 everyone? The paper generally was okay for me, and I have to agree Q2 is the time consuming one. Because of that I left it till the last hour to complete that.

To the rest, good luck! Remember (especially) P papers is a race against time. Knowledge alone is inadequate if you can't write it all down within 3 hours. Therefore I usually follow this strategy (step by step) :

i) Focus on answering all the questions - This will mean allocating a strict time span for each question. Question 1 40 marks? I give myself 1 hour for the initial answering. Once you breach the allocated time move on to the next question.

ii) Gain the easy marks - My lecturer used to say that a passing quality paper only needs an hour to complete, where else no student, even those who knows everything in and out about the subject will be able to produce a 100 marks answer within the allocated time frame. Therefore, if you find yourself struggling with a question, hop on to the next one. Gain the 'easy' marks first.

Once you completed the above step, then you move back to the question in which you were having difficulties or did not had the time to complete earlier.

Hi Yee, I'm part timer too...I'm planning to self study also but not too sure what material to use..
Usually what material you used for studies? Are you depend on the ACCA past year question? 

Finally, I've decided to prepare my OBU degree project after I passed the fundamental level 2 years ago, can anyone help or give some suggestions? I planned to do it on my own. It will be much appreciated if you can email me your sample.

Hey guys, i am going to take P1 & P2 this semester at KSA. I just want to ask anyone got any comment on these lecturers?

P1 - Parmindar Singh
P2 - Spencer Cheah

I just completed the registration of exemption for all F paper, now just starting to take part time classes. KSA got discount policy, for 1st-timer study here, the 2nd subject will be FOC. I was planning to take only P2 but after KSA told me the discount policy so i am considering to take P1 too.

I think i'll go register today, not sure still available or not since the class will start on this Sunday, don't know Parmindar's class was so famous.

Regarding the Spencer, my friends say that Spencer also quite a famous lecturer. So i think i'll just take Spencer instead of Joe Fang for P2.

Btw i owing ACCA 459 pound now, including the annual subscription fee & exemption fees. Is it possible to pay the fees after the stated due date? Because i really not afford to pay it by my salary unless i make a loan from family which i not really wish to do so. If really can't pay after the stated due date then i'll only make loan from my family.
