Just recording doesnt work, other than that really nice. But since weekend edi, simply flash miui v4 to play with, but not so nice. Maybe flash to checkrom after this to test out siyah gb kernel. Wanna see how good the batt life!!!

Flash je la. Keep the current ROM as backup, if don't like CM9 just restore.

Use your iPhone for recording loud music then transfer it to your S2 for playback. Much easier that way.

for flashing wise, i'll suggest to hold first. orelse any shit happened, mood spoilt.

If you're using stock ROM, plug in your headphone during recording (It uses your headphone mic instead of the built-in 1). It only takes low frequency. Downside is volume will be softer, but can be force-increase using software. Try it.

Sound recording i dont know how to improve unless you chuck in portable mixer to filter any unwanted noise.
Sound for playback you can improve by installing Vodoo Louder and PowerAmp apps from market.
Should improve your sound quality :-)

I don't see why Voodoo Louder can improve SQ. The developer even mention it doesn't do anything else except boosting the loudness.

You have to use both apps in tandem. Vodoo to boost clean volume without distort or clipping while PowerAmp for mix and EQ that clean boosted sound for your preference hearing.
