Scared me till death. My phone suddenly unable to wake up. Means the screen just go black. I called with other number, got ringing. But screen is sleep. Then i take out the batt, put back again, now everything work fine. Phew. Dang not even 24 hours old. =.="

Did any of you face this thing?

Always la.. but most of us are using custom ROMs, so could be a variety of factor, kernel, Over Volting/Under Voltings etc.
Stock ROM should be more stable I presumed.

Next time, no need to take out battery. Just pressed the On/Off button together with the home screen for 8 seconds, then your phone will go off. Just turn it ON again afterward.

They should make their phones more scratch resistant and drop proof if they ever want users to stop users to use case

Should make it like HTC One S then. The unibody case is 3 times stronger than stainless steel !!!

i dont experience this on CM9.

Ironically, for me i'm having my Swype FCing in CM9 when I restored it from TB.
So try to download the swype installer again and install it anew. It works for me.

Hey antt,

I updated to the latest cm9 codeworkx build - 20120331 - just now.
Noticed that some of the apps that I restored from TB(eg. Google Music, cwm) when I was in an earlier CM9 build have been wiped out after the update.

So this is the case for the CM9 update even though it is a non wipe?
Pardon the noobness but when I was with the MIUI weekly update, this is not the case.

i'll give it a go then..

Anttoo,
I've flashed the custom kernel Zimage via ktool but the result is the same; cannot remove the triangle.

can usb jig reset the binary counter for i9100G 2.3.6? hmm.gif

With ROM Manager premium, you can update to the touch recovery (at least that's what the app prompted when I click on that option) tongue.gif

I like the Touch Recovery very much when I was with the Remix ROM.

Edited - I just manually installed the Touch Recovery CWM on my CM9 rom.

I can't find the USB utilities option under Settings in CM9.
Anyone knows how to turn the USB storage on?

CM9 does not support usb storage. Use this app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389375

AFAIK only version 1 of this app work.

Antt, I installed the app v1.0.1, click on the green droid and it prompt 'UMS currently enabled'.
Nothing else happen after that.

Are you using the same app yourself?

Tried that then i revert back. Cos all my app files in internal sd is not longer detected. Eg. Dictionary, Maps, etc... lazy to redownload/move all. Now i just use a script to bind DCIM in internal sd to the one in external sd.

Download from here

You're da man. It's working for me now. I was this close to give up on CM9 as this is really a deal breaker for me.
Thanks Sensei!

Ok - different problem from mine then. For my case, previously my phone won't go into deep sleep when it's fully charged at night. Keep on blinking every now and then. Can't remember what ROM I was using then as I keep switching from one another smile.gif

Question : should I remove my matte screen protector on my s2 and trust the gorilla glass?

Just removed my screen protector from my iPod touch yesterday and was amazed once again at the retina display, should I take it off my s2?
*
I went the other way round biggrin.gif
For half year I didn't put on any SP and use it naked. But recently as I apply the SGP Olephobic SP for my wife's Iphone, I kinda like it alot so I got one for my S2 as well. My screen is very much smudge free now, and it is very clear. Doesn't looks like having a SP on at all.
Do check it out.
