Shouldn't be. Rooting will not be wiping any data(images as in pictures?) from your phone.

i dont think i've perform a wipe as all of my contacts n apps are still on my phone. only stuffs that appears on the gallery is gone.

you just flashed ICS? if yes, then media scanner havent scan finish

edit: after reading, i think your gallery stuffs rly gone ad, its a bug that happen to me before when i flash CM7

did you allow media scan finish?

use file explorer and go to DCIM and check whether the photos are still there or not. if no, then god bless you
