ok. jut wanted to know. sorry but wat is SoC?

i manage to get some read up here -
http://10division.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-gt...u-need-to-know/

and i believe that i'm someone who will mod the phone with custom fireware and etc in the future. and it say 9100 is better opt
*
for custom rom or firmware wise there are a few being popping up for i9100G
if you love the phone just go for it weather it is G or non-G
both will be receiving ICS update anyway it's just a matter of time for non-G

just like nicregi

don't go install pirated app and came back here complain got so much of problem
whatever phone also when having pirated app hang and problematic is common

lastly it all to your personal preference for phone selection

Yes wipe will only wipe your user data in the rom and the 2gb partition.

TB will backup the apps and their data. Contact and SMS can also. But i never try to restore contact through TB before so dunno how well it works. SMS works well.
*
[SMS/MMS/APN] Dialer Storage
[SMS/MMS PREFS] Messaging

for sms backup we have to select the above 2 or one of them is enough

QUOTE(antt00 @ Mar 26 2012, 05:15 PM)
TB will also backup your wifi passwords and settings and also bluetooth pairing.  biggrin.gif Can restore back easily.
*
wifi and bluetooth pairing select which one to backup?
i always need to manually copy the wifi setting file from root folder and replace back when ever i do a full wipe

Hi guys I wanna ask a question.
If I bought an app from Google Play, and for some reason I need to factory reset or format my phone again.
What will happen to my paid app cause it'll definitely get erased as well.

Can I download it again from the apps store without having to pay for it?
Or the paid app is already saved in my apps list and I can download it back from there without paying??

Thanks notworthy.gif
*
after you format
just sign in to your playstore with the same email you use to purchase for the app
can redownload from market
if you have lot of app recommand use titanium backup

But to use titanium backup u need to root rite.
I just got my phone and I'm not confident enough to root it yet tongue.gif
*
haha if not yet rooted need to use back the old way
can redownload back provided you use back the same email which you used to purchase apps earlier
you will feel needed for titanium backup after you rooted and become flash addict especially when there are tonnes of app need to reinstall back

Guys, any guide in updating my Galaxy S2 non G to 2.3.6 for the moment now...

And one more thing, Why does my phone reacts slowly whenever I turned on Power Saving Mode.

My aunty's one is still smooth as usual when she turns on her Power Saving Mode, she's using G-version.

issit because of my Firmware or because my set is an AP set??
*
i think your aunt g version should be 2.3.6?
version before this had some smoothness issue
for non-G version i don't is there any for the official
but if you really wanted to update can considered on custom rom

Power saving mode is actually just a mode where it will dim your brightness, turn off wifi/ (when not connected)gps/bluetooth when it reaches a certain threshold. It actually wastes more battery as it wakes up the phone to check the battery gauge to determine that.

Also, depending on threshold also, frequency might also be limited (in certain ROMs that I know). It's not the case anymore in Ice Cream Sandwich. It was the case back in Gingerbread (one of the ROMs I use, as I remembered).
*
yeah this even happen to juice defender
now during sleep time i just disable juice defender too
notice wake up quiet a number of time just to check battery level

Yes, she's on 2.3.6.

I've just updated mine to 2.3.6, through ODIN though... sad.gif
Yes, I'm using an AP set as well,hmmm...depends on you if you want to update your phone or not, but just be cautious when flashing. It can brick your phone anytime.... Galaxy S2 Non-g is stuck at 2.3.4 at the moment, if you want to go higher, is either ODIN.
Oh really???? The mode I turned on isn't actually threshold mode, it totally turns the damn phone slows. Is like asking the phone to use a single core instead of dual core, that's how I feel lar...but then again, my battery life seems to improve under Power Saving Mode.
*
actually if not heavy usage nothing difference in term of single or dual core
since mostly my phone is running on single core

here's some base line on how to choose a suitable memory card for our device:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150369

it seems like sandisk 32gb class 4 is good enough for our usage on sgs2.
*
yes but if frequntly transfering file btw pc and memory card higher class much better to save on transfering time
