i plan to apply for BT from my outstanding in RHB cc to my Aeon Watami card. My RHB statement will be out on 26.1.2014 (payment due date =15.2.2014) and my Watami card statement is 10.2.2014

I wish to have the Aeon watami paying my RHB debts after 10.2.2014 but before the RHB cc due date on 15.2.14.

so if i summit my BT application form to Aeon after the CNY; ie on Wed 5.2.2014, do you think Aeon credit can pay in time my RHB debts before due date on 15.2.2014?

Ok ok cannot kira so much la, 7 working days not enough, 10 working days hopefully cukup. RHB statement hope to receive by 29 Jan 14.

So if i email my BT application form on Thur 30.1.2014, there would be 10 working days right?, in time to clear payment by 15.2.14?

How come in my case, i submitted today, Aeon people told me , no gaurnatee can pay my RHB by 15.2.2014.

Then they pointed out to me, the form stated they need 15 working days..

Anybody has transfer BT from RHB to Aoen card? want to knw how many days Aeon takes to pay RHB...

is this a loop hole in BT limit?

Say your cc CR limit 50k, you want to do BT 41k, CS said no becos 80% of CL is only 40k.

Then u apply 1st BT 9k, bal CR limit 41k

Then again u apply 2nd BT 9k, bal CL = 32k.

Now u got remaining BT 23k to do, u call the PBB CS and asked, he said you are entitled to 80% of available CL ie 80% x 32k = 25.6k

I asked that PBB CS guy, he said yes, can do 3rd BT for RM25.6k!

Did he know what he was talking, i told him like that I can do BT many times and totalled up much more than the 1 shot limit of 80% of card CL..........., he said yes, he just calculated accordingly.

thanks for your confirmation, i cancelled my Aeon BT application, and summitted 3 BT applications in 7 days to PBB, totalling RM41+k, next 6 months work to pay instalment only.........let go my opportunity to earn Aeon bonus points.

Aeon BT officer called today and asked me about my BT cancellation, told her my disappointment why Aeon needs Bank statement and worse why Aoen needs 15 working days?? PBB needs only 7 working days, ans no need to wait for bank statement to come.

mine the opposite. PBMG Platinum 50k, Aeon Watami only 30k.

Original plan is to BT to Aeon to earn Aeon bonus point, but i cancelled it this time. Cant take the risk of late payment penalty.

After CNY, i plan to apply BT from my MBB Amex to Aeon.

I will use my MB2U credit card transaction screen shots to apply. If wait for the MB2Card Amex statement (21.2.14) that would be too late as payment is due on 10.3.14.

I summit the BT on 4.2.14, sure more than enough time to clear my MBB Amex debts well before due date 10.3.14, right?

Has any body done balance transfer for balance transfer payment due??

I mean i have PBB statement recently with three 1st month instalments of BT to pay. Can i do balance transfer of this to Aeon Watami card?

good so we can break our big sum to smaller amount. 32k outstanding from RHB moved to PBB, then only need to pay RM5+k over 6 months. Move the 5+k from PBB to Aoen every month, then becomes monthly RM800+ and the best part can get Aeon bonus points.

This BT game is getting more interesting having played it once, i wont stop... Thanks folks.

Warning-For those who wanna play this BT game, make sure you can pay the monthly statement amount in full on or before due dates.

last time yes PBB cc was useful, the best? dont know la, but at least got rebate 8% or 12% max RM100 pm, but no more since Aug 2013. Unless i miss out their current promotions ?

Now i use it only for their 0% 6m BT just to pay my outstanding before i managed to get Aeon to pay.

other than that no use to me..........The best now is HL Wise card that gives you RM100 pm, MBB AMex RM50 pm + TPoints, Watami card RM150 per quarter and finally OCBC unlimited 1% CB. PBB ranks low.....the same goes for RHB VS, now also no use already....

yes, you must be fast. MAke all the swipes early in the month.
Swipe 8x get 8% or 12x get 12%, max RM120pm.

The promo from Jan-Apr 2013, i got max RM120 in all 4 months. Then it was another (more complex spend criteria) promo May -Aug 2013, i got once only once RM100 (max) out of the 2 months i tried.

2012 Promo May-Aug i got 3 x RM100 (max) as i missed out the first month.By the time you saw the advert, it is too late to win even if you join.

The promo Sep -Dec 2012, again i missed out the first month (Sep), the other 3 months - i got RM120 max, RM120, and RM98 due to miscalculations - so rather good CB i would say, but too bad so long already still no new CB promo...........

i have cancelled Watami approved BT before. Easy if they have not issued out the cheque payment. But even if issued if cheque still not cleared they can also do a stop payment, the Aeon BT officer lady told me.

You must write in email/fax with a phone call as well, insist you want to cancel that BT or else you are going to pay for nothing. Speak to BT officer not the cc CS.

in my case, the BT officer will call or sms say the BT is approved. You cannot ignore the sms if you dont want that BT.inform them fast.

If the BT officer calls, then straight away tell them you want to cancel that BT.

The other day i cancelled the Watami BT, i went tru quite a few very helpful Aeon BT officers, they helped me checked and found out that the cheque had been banked in with batch and transaction numbers. They also checked and found that however the cheque was not cleared and agreed to cancel payment. No charges was incurred in my case.

But my reason was not i applied for 2 BTs just to cancel one later on. I cancelled it becos the payment was late and i will get penalty charges, so i told them instead of waiting for the Aeon cheque to clear, i have to rush to pay my outsanding now and on that they agreed to cancel.

can, i have been doing that, using BT to pay BT installmenmt, looping again and again, quite fun and keep our own money..

Yeah, if you are careful you make money, if not the bank will make money out of you.

You wont believe it the total BT i have accumulated is >100k, i owe credit card so much! interest free...who cares.

The total gain as per your calculation is RM1134 for 6 months, that is assuming I am using my own money to pay the 6 monthly installments to all of them right? But I am not, i am looping them back and forth. My gain is more that what your table showed?

Tips for those who BT alot and running out of credit in Aeon.
1)BT more to PBB, no need statement, can BT very early to get ready.
2)Not enough, BT to RHB as well, use paid up, old statement also can,as long as due date still not over.

BT back and forth yes, I did that for a while already.
Infact i used the zero fees BT to make PBB pay 10k and another 15k to Aeon Watami in a period of 2 weeks, and PBB still approved that. Thinking RHB 0% BT offer was closing on 30.6.14, I BT another RM7+k credit from RHB to Watami as well.

Ended up i "overpay" (using money from PBB and RHB) Aeon Watami by quite a big sum. I was hoping that overpayment can increase my limits for more BTs from other cards to Watami, but alas, it was not allowed. That officer told me i already used up all the 80% of my CL, the "over payment" made cannot used to do more BT!!

I didnt care, went ahead and still submitted more BTs applications.
And true enough my subsequent 2 BTs from MBB Amex and Citibank cc to Watami were rejected

I argued in that case i want my money back, but they asked about details of the payment which i could not answer.

They want to know how payment was made, cheque number, date, amount etc etc....imagine the trouble to call PBB and RHB to get those details.

But still got it done after some time, by then my next statement for Watami came and the amount was RM15+k, deducted that for sure, not enough, Aeon retained another RM1400+ (for upto date payment ,i supposed), and finally i got a refund of RM5+k. Yeah still free money advance RM5000+ from the bank (RHB to be exact)!

Yes you do get points for the "early settlement", i saw they gave me 15945 points for that statement which showed total current balance =RM0.


Lesson to learn:
1) dont over pay thinking you can use it to increase your BT limit if you have achieved max 80% CL
2)Over doing BT and have "over payment" with Watami - you can demand for refund. They charged me RM2.00 for IBG to CIMB SA.

Latest update: Just last week i summitted another BT (RM4500 from MBB AMex) to Watami and it was approved! I checked my total BTs amount with watami and my total BT instalments paid till that date, deduct that = my outstanding unpaid BT instalments. That amount was still more than 80% of my CL . ?Some error somewhere with Watami becos they approved my BT..Who cares, just submit more BTs till they are rejected, no harm trying.

2)Yes you need to provide details, even the date the cheque was banked in and the location as well!

Once you know how to get the details of that BT payment, you can get interest free Cash Advance with a RM2.00 IBG fee. But must have money ready in case your plan back fires.



i see ... that could be the reason why my own estimate was wrong, not mistake from Aeon , that BT approval was proper. Now, no point we try to estimate or even ask the CS whether we can continue to apply the BT or not, just simply send in and see... just BTed my RHB oustanding back to Aeon Watami.
