The only thing that concern me here is the Fuel Consumption figure.. 8.2L/100Km doesn't look good enough..
BTW on all previous Proton Cars they advertise it as X.XL/100Km in constant 90KMH but not in this slide presentation. Do they calculate it differently this time?
*
btw, what is model 1,2,3 and 4?

model 2 looks like altis 1.8, model 3 looks like civic 1.8

model 1 and 4?

premium preve will obviously smoke 1.8 inspira. that is why proton is phasing out that model.
*
not only that, the 1.8 cvt's demand is too low. all going for the 2.0

Preve: 205nm@2k rpm.

My 2.0 Rara: 197nm@4k rpm.

On paper, I'm toast if we're talking 0-60km/h (or maybe even 0-100). 1.8 even more lah, unless modded.

But as you guys said, we'll have to see it in action first.
*
we do not know the transmission lost...hard to say, but it should be close. on paper, the lancer goes 0-100 in 9.1 seconds, but proton stated 10.5. rclxub.gif

where did you get that number? many reviewers say it takes 10.5s for the cvt lancer to achieve 100kmh from standstill while the manual version takes 9.6s...

for the manual version 2.0

i dont how he got that number but many reviewers say it takes 10.5s in cvt and 9.5s in manual...

http://motoring.asiaone.com/Motoring/Test%...0731-19370.html

from the review, that number might come from the manual version since manual version takes 9.6s 0-100kmh in many other reviews while the one you show takes 9.1s to achive 96.5kmh (or 60mph)...

Added on April 6, 2012, 8:12 amlook here.. spec from japan... cvt version takes 10.5/10.7s... while manual version takes 9.6s...

From the torque figures you can see that there will be very little lag. For any turbo engines, there will always some form of lag as the accelerator does not feel so 'connected' to the engine response. It is just a matter of getting used to it and any turbo drivers can tell you that after a while, you'd even change your driving style unconsciously to make up for the lag.

like CVTs, feel funny at 1st, but will learn to appreciate it later

ic, btw i quite trusted him, maybe he so friendly to everyone  blink.gif the tint i was asked him earlier, preve come with EcoTint, if i dun wan, he can change Agard for me  brows.gif

not sure i at the first batch since someone told me that the elegant brown i want may not offer for first batch   shakehead.gif

btw the blue colour i dun think will greenish, after compared a lot of leak photos  cool2.gif
*
seriously, do not fall into the trap of the tint la..

very common, even in the inspiras, change tint la..that SA want commision la..if it is true, the ECOTINT specs are one of the top for it's brand, the TSER is higher than that of 3M

1) u'll most likely have to top up for a more inferior tint.
2) u'll lose the 5 years warranty of the ecotint.

Why so foolish? rclxub.gif

i nvr tried ecotint. i have tried aircool.. it was not up to my expectations to be honest. but at least much better then raytech. now that is crap. feel no diff wat so ever. i tried vcool on my uncles car. that was the best so far. good VTL and u cant feel the heat of the sun on ur arm even the in direct sunlight.

i hear got some ppl say 3m is good too..
*
if it follows the inspira's spec, the VLT is good and the TSER is even better. brows.gif

I hate CVT... initially thought wah smooth on my city.. then wah servicing expensive .. and it prone to breakdown..
First  batch of City have gearbox problem, need to flush gear box once a while. It costs RM1xx per bottle.
*
that is hondi problem la..they pour wrong transmission fluid.

i have a city idsi at home, change cvtf every 20k km, rm 100+, cheap and no problem whatsoever

we inspira owners, slyphy, altis and teana's cost rm 300+ per service for cvt.
