QUOTE(~@Sharks@~ @ Mar 18 2012, 01:23 AM) Will charging the battery at 60% like that kill the battery span? From what I had read, NO, and its recommended if you do so(since nowadays we use lithium ion batteries and not nicd battery or any those batteries that has "memory" effect). Charging at 10% is said to have adverse effects on the life span. p/s: I am not a chemical engineer so I cannot verify on this point but that's what I got from what I had read.

QUOTE(~@Sharks@~ @ Mar 18 2012, 03:12 PM) Oh . Didn't know that . You read it from the internet? I've heard of that before about lithium batteries, but didnt know that the smartphone is using lithium batteries. yeah. you can read the articles with some simple googling. Phones nowadays ARE equipped with lithium batteries. Only those old old old school ones are using nicd I think(or maybe not, not sure, never own those old school phones before). http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_w_i8150-4114.php // Standard battery, Li-Ion 1500 mAh Li is Lithium, you can check the periodic table if you don't trust me(its one of the first few elements)
