no, in fact, keep your battery charged above at least 50% at all times to prolong the lifespan, don't keep it below 20-30% charge for a long period of time.what most (if not all) handphone dealers will tell u the usual stuff, charge 8 hours before using, bla bla bla, use until 1% then only charge, bla bla bla. those are ONLY applicable to the older battery type (nicads or whatever)
though, for lithium batteries, heat is bad, so charging and using phone (playing games, surfing with 3G or wifi) generates a lot of heat on the battery. so do charge it in a ventilated area.
