Samsung wants you to change phone as often as you go for your haircut. More sales for them if you buy another Samsung model (i.e. high end model) with ICS support.

But, it leave a bad taste in customer's mouth. My next phone may not be a Samsung make.

Any good alternative compatible brand battery to recommend? My original battery starting to unable to hold the charges anymore.

I have temporarily stopped using my Wonder. The battery is getting over swollen until I find it difficult to close the back cover properly. Worried it might explode any time if I am still using it.

Not sure if the just launched S3 mini is a good upgrade.

I use original Samsung charger. I never used 3rd party charger but I do use non-Samsung brand power bank. I always charged the battery using Samsung provided USB cable connecting to laptop.

I was informed by Samsung CS, the warranty for battery is 6 months. I am not entitled to claim it anymore.

Want to do a survey on "victims" of the fat battery problem.

Is your unit made in Japan, finished in Korea? What is the production date of your battery?

Try get reputable powerbank brands like YooBao, Pineng, etc. I am using a Pineng. A friend is using YooBao on his Note 1 and S2.

So far so good. No issue.

I bought Pineng from LivingSocial for RM87, 5000mAh Power Bank with LED Flash Light.

For my case, the battery bloated after almost one year from the date of purchase.

I got Sun global at RM55, including shipping charge and received it the next day.
