i would recommend going to some local markets and fishing village in HK. if u have 24mm or 28mm will be nice

Personally on the a77 it's pretty decent for a budget walkaround lens. Focusing under low light seems pretty decent on the wide end but at the tele-end the lens will hunt. What I am more impressed is how the SAM focusing engine now seems much quieter than the previous SAM lenses. IQ is acceptable but i didnt really manage to test the best out of it.

Anyone knows where I can get Sony 50mm F1.8 for about RM 450- 500? Around KL area.

Newbie. Load bearing is individual of the components. You can't add them up and say a tripod of load bearing capacity of 6kg and ball head of 5kg measles the system able to support 11kg gears. Meaning the entire system can support max 5kg also, coz thats the max the head can support. 15kg systems who say don't have. Video systems can easily reach those weights. Tripods are not only meant for dslrs, open up your mind to the bigger picture. Dslrs are tiny gears compared to industrial systems.

tiewgine8039: yes, CPL are rotate-able filter, even the lens rotate during focus, u still can hold the CPL filter to stop it from turning(stays in the same position). when u buy it, u will understand

and 30mm macro, as a standard lens, why not? a lens choice, is a CHOICE, so, do what you wan, u can even have a 135prime as walkaround. i know my friend with A77 is with 500F8 like, 99% of the time, with average of 50 pic daily. oh, he is a bird shooter so thats his walkaround lens... (seriously he walks around with 500 attached fulltime)

Newbieeeeee: watch out for benrohead with BH-XX. those are lowest end head, which in my opinion, suit for ppl with no budget. if u can save a little more, grab B-XX heads (without the H).
low budget, just ignore the 'whatever limit' its just a guideline for marketing people. but dont expect a rm300 tripod will able to stand solid in windy condition period.

the jusino recently (i think) is having promo on one of their tripod for rm345 something. its a good buy,

if u really wan to know the weight limit of a tripod, the smallest number u find, thats the limit. a chain breaks at its weakest link.

good morning! so early I have googling about Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM macro (A mount) and find out it price rm3600 from shashinki. anyone alpha user got use this lens?

I am funding for a mid tele portrait lens and same time if have macro 1:1 capability. But at this price tag of 3600, seem i can work on alternative solution as well. below is my thought, what do you think?

ohh, like that one  . if tamron re-batch this superior lens, how nice if put in hsm, +500 i also okay  i real over flickr, someone shared if use in indoor low light, it will hunt abit. hmm... park in my list 1st 

the camera was held in a portrait orientation and captured horizontally.. think creative if you're to be a photographer...

Newbieee.. in that case, you're under-utilizing your macro lens, you need to expand your view, up your skills... who says macro lenses ONLY have to be used for macro work without AF? Even some of my macro work uses AF and who says macro lenses can't be used as a normal 90mm/100mm/105mm tele lens? In those situations, why not AF then?

since i bought SP90 until now i never use AF hahaha.

Newbieee aka noob. When did I ever mention macro of ONLY bugs? Please read carefully. My usage of macro lens is not limited to only insects, as I've pointed out, it's a 90mm bright prime, in my case, 100mm prime. And the SP90 isn't sharp? You're joking me/us right?

hahaha...sp90 not sharp and dull?...thats why don bother to get so many premium lens when you cant even handle it properly....color dull or not most of the time depend on the white balance..try to read up on white balance as well as try it out..AWB will only give you the most accurate colors when the sun is super bright..it will give you a dull colors when the sun is not bright/low lightings..play around white balance and the tinting can give you a whole new experience with color moods..

don waste your expensive stuff..make use of it more frequently..think out of the box..else, it is better to keep it into the box and get a kitlens...use it until you are fully capable to pull a decent shot before you touch the premiums...

The British newspaper, The Daily Mail, also published my photos and article on the fighting tigers, although I'm not so sure why they want to put in so many of these photos. I provided them with many so that they get to choose and not everyone will need to publish the same photo... but guess these guys wants them all!
