QUOTE(kome @ Jan 11 2013, 01:09 PM) It has been a week that I received this small USB DAC and overall... It worked nicely with my casual listening. Glad u like it bro...enjoy If compared to laptop sound card, it was not comparable at all.. It was just awesome... Besides, I had compared it with my old hifi gears -CD Player - clocked 2 NAD 502 -Octave's DAE-1 -a trusted NAD 302 -AKG K701 headphones -Apertura Agora loudspeakers I played several FLAC musics on it (mostly jazz and world music) thru Foobar. Off course, NAD502 + DAE-1 get my vote. And they cost more... But if NAD502 fed NAD302 directly, it could be on par if I fed this tiny USB DAC to DAE-1 then to NAD302, driving K701/Aperura. However, i found that NAD502 (well, clocked version) has a tad more transparency and better soundstage compared to USB DAC, even with DAE-1. USB DAC was a bit dry by comparison. But hey... i bought this USB DAC because i want to have my casual listening in more enjoying and satisfied manner, rather than hearing all kind off noises out from laptop sound card.. and it's not expensive at all... I'm very satisfied with this USB DAC T-Muso PCM2704.. What system I have now...? ......Foobar > USB DAC > DAE-1 >NAD302 > K701.... fuuhhh syiioookk... |

QUOTE(wim1983 @ Apr 26 2013, 04:41 PM) I had received the DAC in good condition, tested with my Senheiser HD598, definitely sound better, especially after I adjust to add in a little bass, and I can hear louder, as compare to low volumne on my PC onboard sound card. In conclude, worth the price for this DAC, i feel no over bright problem, no distortion problem, all just fine. http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/82One more question, i see there are 2 red LEF lights on the DAC, how comes only 1 is ON? How about the other? And then what is the SPDIF about? I see no SPDIF when I plug in the USB DAC into computer, I just use like that, any difference with the SPDIF? |

QUOTE(andrew9292 @ May 12 2013, 06:23 PM) PM best price for COD in PJ bro? => The first LED at input..should be no problem...but the 2nd led from output...if you take it out...would be no more SPDIF function.....Also wanna ask, is it possible for me to disconnect n throw away the 2 LEDs? Will the DAC still function correctly w/o them? Audiophile should know why leds should not run on the same board |
