Err, I don't think that's right. If I'm not mistaken, there's no actual penalty for vs unprotected enemies. The damage reduction is only applied when the bullet has to penetrate something. Else the weapon still does full damage.

To put it quite simply, if you shoot a Guardian through his shield, you do only 40% damage per shot assuming your mod is Level I. You still do 100% damage to an unprotected Assault Trooper unless you are trying to shoot him through cover in which case the damage drops to 40%.

Note that the Widow sniper rifles automatically have the piercing effect so you might not need to use this mod on it. Might...I'm not sure of the effective piercing level of the Widow but I suspect its tied to the gun level so it might still be worth putting a Piercing Mod V on a Widow I. Dunno...dun have enough info on this.

Bronze is way too easy to the point where I can solo Atlas/Geth Prime/Banshee, Silver is frustrating in pubs due to lag and general idiocy. I once popped into a game started by someone playing an Asari Adept (N7 rank 40+ only) armed with a widow and some assault rifle. I hightailed it out of there straight away. What kind of Adept player gears up like that?

Not angry at him or anything but I figure he's not ready for silver which is why I left to find another team. I also not so elitist normally but I played through a few failed silver runs just before that so...

Vanguards annoy me. They think they very hotshot because their score is so high but the truth is any idiot can get a lot of kills from spamming charge + nova. If mission scrubs, they seem to think its everyone else's fault for not being as 'uber' as them. Many don't even help out during the hacking missions and I've seen quite a few who'd rather continue their rampage than to be extracted. That costs the team about 10k XP if they are trying to level.

If they owe you a comm pack, don't wait to complain. They will only hand out 1 such pack at a time. I raised a ticket about both Operation Exorcist and Raptor and they gave me a comm pack so I raised again asking about the other. They gave me a gift pack which has 300k credits. I'd rather have the comm pack as it guarantees a N7 weapon. Credits are not hard to earn. Just farm FBW Geth Gold.

I'll be online if you guys want to do some gold runs. Usually play as an Asari Adept or Salarian Engie as I find them to be the most practical for farming. The former can make stuff go boom while the latter are especially good vs Geth.

Want to update my Carnifex from VII to X. Its the only gun I seem to be using these days.

Btw, Vanguards can be useful to have around in bronze and silver runs as their sheer damage output can speed up the run provided they aren't reckless idiots who need to be rezzed all the time. Don't like having them around for gold though. Too risky.
