Did a runthrough, I'm convinced now Synthesis is definitely the best ending

I got the save just right before the Conduit, so I just restarted that instead.

The new scenes only start at the Harbinger scene

Wonder why did they cut some of the dialogue in this scene? It was so heartwarming
IMO, it would make the ending 1000x better.

Damn you game, pulling on my heart strings. Haven't cried this much since Leandra's death in Dragon Age 2

It wasn't that the endings were bad. It's just that a lot of things about the original endings were left unexplained, like:

- How did your squadmates managed to get back to the Normandy
- Why was the Normandy running away from the crucible blast
- How did Hackett know Shepard was in the citadel
- Joker owes his life to Shepard, so why did he suddenly turn coward and ran
- How does synthesis work
- Why can't we refuse the choices that the catalyst gave us
- Once you pick an ending, a lot are left to the players' interpretation - what happened after that, what happened to the rest of your squadmates

Glad that the extended cut gave more clarity.

You didn't cure the genophage or let the quarians open fire on geth with reaper code ? Heartless...

My first playthrough was almost perfect, except the part where I saved some of the kidnapped crew too late in ME2 haha
