seriously, not much difference.
TW interface change abit, just slightly, at the option menu

still use the 3 layer memory. sigh.
camera no change, exactly same as before (same speed as before)

seriously so hard to find any changes.
i've been using GB TW all this while.
the noticable difference is the lock screen, just ever so slightly.

function wise, just add the new browser, which is good.
can sync with google chrome, and got good tab support.
dont think will need dolphin anymore, can return it to ocean.

some apps not working in ics, bye bye diodict. so sad....
face unlock is totally useless. just a gimmic.

i need to use diodict...

i dont feel this ics is any faster or smoother.
if you guys do, maybe its the "oh...this is the latest android version, it must be faster" psychological effect.

ICS TW = GB TW + face unlock + different settings menu + new awesome browser + new task manager (which is not that usefull, since TW already got task manager) - some app compatibility

if you're happy with your rom, wait for the ics version of it appear.

you use it for the ics task manager?
its great on tabs, but on a screen on s2, only can display 3 apps, so silly.
use the tw task manager la. less pretty, but more efficient.
place the "running apps" widget on home screen, press it and it will launch task manager.
i rarely press the home button. :-)

its suppose to be in developer settings, present in cm9 on my tab,
but not on official ics for s2.

mine working back also.
the one i use last time is red color icon one, i think its for smaller screen. but works fine on S2, the interface is super minimalistic.

i went to samsung app store find again, got a newer diodict, but blue color icon one.
the interface abit over flashy, looks like a real book, dont like how it looks, but hey it works. so i'm happy on ics now

its about 20MB i think.
you have to search for "diodict" in samsung apps.
scroll very down to find, dark blue icon.

yes, but dont have the "long press back button to kill foreground app" option

very frustrated with all the little bugs in ics.

the battery icon on the notification bar is useless,
i use rom toolbox to change it to an icon that can display percentage.

working fine in GB, although the change is not that accurate, buts its still good.

i will only change every5%. means from 100%, it will drop to 95%, 90%, 85% etc....
(the description says this is a 1% sensivity, but practically is 5%, the battery widget i use can display uptil 1% sensivity.)

now on ics, the same battery icon that i install, is changing in 10% sensivity, this is not acceptable at all....:-(

can you guys recomend me some method how to change it?
preferbably one that has 1% sensivity.

i'm so sick of this ics multiple small issue.
the lock screen is jerky, sometimes lag while unlock, sms got sent twice when i use hancent, send one but receive 2.
when searching for wifi, sometimes settings will fc. (settings also can FC, really speechless, happen 3 times this morning)

if i discover more bugs, i wana restore back GB already....
but too addicted to the swipe notification and browser....

i'm so sad....i just learn about flash roms one week ago.
it was really exciting and fun at first, but now its such a pain....

restoring via titanium and cwm,
its not fun at all. phone temporary non functional.
the agony of waiting

tried miui, but not used to it.

for official ics fun part is just the browser, and swipe notification.
both also i can live without.

but all the bugs i'm facing now, its not worth.
previous official GB is enough for me, i seriously just need to USE the phone.

i wan my GB back...luckily i keep a cwm backup of it at my laptop at home,
tonight i'm goin to restore it via cwm to end all my night mare.


after tonight i'm go to take a long break from flashing any custom rom.

thanks everyone in this forum, i learn so much this past week,
about cwm, rooting with chainfire, and flashing customs roms.
things that i totally dont know prior to this. you guys are the best

maybe now s2 also got ics, so galaxy nexus's value drop instantly.
but sad to say, my experience with official ics is downright bad, feels like a downgrade.

no one can teach you one. must read yourself.

wow, everyone busy discussing ics.

i wana ask something.

my original kernal is DXKI2
but after use cf root, become CEKI2 since its the nearest match.

in the first page rooting tutorial,
mention to remove yellow triangle, use odin flash back stock kernal,
then use cwm flash back chainfire kernal, CEKI2 again.

my question is why need to flash back chainfire kernal?
use back stock kernal will have issue?
whats the difference?

i flash official ics using mobile odin pro, i've checked the option to inject root and cwm.
after flash, i have root and cwm in app tray,
but when wana go cwm recovery, it remains the stock recovery.

so cwm is inside the kernal. i see.

Hei guys, i'm a s2 owner myself.

i'm thinking of buying a S2 for my gf.
looking for a second hand one since i'm looking for non G version.
not sg2 are mostly G version, non G extinct already.

in garage sales section, some claim that they still have warantee.
but how the hack am i suppose to know its real?

i'm not even sure how to check my own one.
issit do the sms thing and insert imei?
i tried this method, but mine say not registered.
but i registered mine in samsung website before.
confuse.maybe mine is ap, got conned.
