need to retune timing, etc and use adjustable cam pulley as well.
I bet u felt that the PE was nice too when u first see it at showroom.. U must own it to know the true story behind it..

Btw someone gatal tangan installing RSR twin tip muffler now..

it was brilliant....though at first glance it looks very japanese but im won over when i got to sit in it.
in my opinion proton is doing things right as the ride and road holding of our cars in general, inclusive of the gearbox has a very continental feel to it.

what about a combo of both materials...the fireblanket goes up to 600 degrees centigrade and its directly behind the radiator blower and shield that whole bundle with aluminum or the other way around, aluminium first then the blanket?

from my understanding the wrap is used to keep the heat of the exhaust in and within the engine bay and using the radiator to cool it down. hence, wrapping the manifold will contain most of the temperature to the front of the car. the purpose is not to deflect or dispel heat from the exhaust system but to contain it for optimum pressure build up.

I wonder if insulating both the extractor and intake snorkel/air filter box would improve things. Insulate extractor = Reduce heat in engine bay. Insulate snorkel/filter box = keep it cool all the time. As we know cold intake is always preferable

Insulation traps the heat in the extractor la. If it traps the heat in the engine bay, why do it in the first place? I'm talking about wrapping the extractor pipes and filter box lor. Not the hood.
