1. Does the car fuel cap got close properly ?
2. Does the air filter on the left passenger have been remove before ?

this is some previous experience from Honda Insight owner... If you got new solution please do share here as well.

Good to know that. At least HM is doing a much better customer service compare to last time.

Stiff competitions are good for consumer!.. biggrin.gif
Well they still need to keep up with times and start using emails instead of fax. Not happy with the customer facing people...

After replacing new ECU, initially the car back to normal. But after few rounds of test drive, problem reoccur. SC no clue and says need to check the wiring but can take as long as 2 days to see if they can catch the culprit!

Meanwhile, complaints to HM have been fruitless as they do not want to commit on any compensations. Also no written reply given to my complaint letters.

I am very disappointed and will go public with the complaint.

Some updates on my case.

HM technicians found 3 faulty parts in my car and are in process to replace them and do a total test of the car. Hopefully the problem can really be permanently resolved.

But meanwhile my demands have not yet been responded to by HM. Once I get the complete technical report, will share the details with you all!

@xweird, sorry to hear that your car is still in the SC. Besides ECU that they have replaced, you mention that they found 3 other faulty parts, may I know what are those?
*
No mention which parts but all details will be provided in a full technical report. I'll call the SC to see if they can tell me anything.

Hopefully once all fixed I'll be able to add my name to the list of owners!

I think the service guy didn't actually find the real cause... He started changing one part to another... How can a new car have so many faulty parts and it's Honda some more.

OR the SC is giving excuse to buy more time.
It was found after joint troubleshooting with technician from HM also. At least that's what I've been told.

BTW saw a white one at SS19 today lunch hour near Parkway.

Welcome..  thumbup.gif
At last you are here .... everything working perfectly now?

So far so good, thanks!

Very interesting car this one. Lots of features that delight especially when unexpected, e.g. front passenger seatbelt detection smile.gif

Questions about the car behavior:
1) When engine restarts from auto stop, is it supposed to be jerky or as smooth as starting from idle? And is there supposed to be a slight delay before the gear engages?
2) When coasting and braking, the car seems to jerk and I suppose this is due to regenerative braking. How to ensure the braking is smooth like conventional braking?
3) The multi info display resets to the rear seatbelt detection screen at each car restart. Any way to make the screen stick to the previous view?
4) The assist meter doesn't go very far to the right. I am using very light throttle only and no hard acceleration. Is this normal?
I'm sure there will be more questions to come so hope for good info sharing from all of you! Thanks!

Something weird after the repair: when engage in D gear, the car doesn't creep forward. At the slightest slope the car will roll backwards unless I press the gas pedal. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I thought jazz hybrid supposed to have hill start assist function? Could it be after repair my car got problem?

"Repair" - care to share what type of repair.. gear box related?
hill start assist function will happen when you press your brake hard enuf.
*
Hi. I read from Insight forum also to press brake hard enough. Is this the expected behaviour?

Other than the ECU they also replaced for me entire transmission box. So I wonder is it because the box haven't warm up?

i think most of the jazz hybrid and insight, owners are new to CVT. Its normal the car will roll back even on a slight slope. U need to press the brake hard to activate the hill start assist. But even if its a very steep slope, with the hill start assist, the car will still roll back. If encounter this, just pull the handbrake.

Previous honda city with CVT, doesnt come with hill start assist, so have to use handbrake when ever come to a slope..

so its normal, nothing wrong with ur jazz hybrid
*
Thanks for the assurance bro. So CVT behaviour is different from normal AT in this aspect?
