Hi, finally going to start my home renovation. Need all sifu opinion here.

Should I get a main contractor to help me on the renovation or I should get multiple contractor for different works?

Here is my flow of renovation:

Wall extension > wiring> piping> tile > wood work ( kitchen cabinet, TV cabinet & wardrobe) > iron grill> plaster ceiling> painting > furniture & electrical appliance > done!

Pls provide your opinion, thank u!

I preferred do it after paint as painter, easier to paint and also painter will not patiently protect ur KC/TV set from paint, and no matter how you protect, by using roller, there are small drop paint splitting around one, so 100% will kena ur KC/TV set, proper flow should be after paint

Thanks for the info. Now, I looking high n low for good contractor. Any sifu, can share the contact here?

Noted with thanks. Now, sourcing for the good contractors for wet work + Wiring + Piping, contractors for carpentry, contractor for plaster ceiling + Painting and contractors for grill. If you have any good one, please recommend.

Thank you thank you!

Added on March 23, 2012, 6:20 pmWow... Today went to meet up with a few contractors for price comparison and idea. After seeing these contractors, there are so many area need to amend even though I have the 3D plan with me. So, lesson of the story, no need to engage an ID fellow to draw the 3D plan, the contractors able to give you more idea. Moreover, some contractor even can draw you the simple 3D plan FOC.

Damn... Wasted few thousand to get somebody to draw the plan...

never pay full first. always  hold back final payment. until job complete. make them understand this condition on the outset

Too bad. Pay the ID already. Now working on the meeting up contractors, discussion on plan, waiting for the quotation. Today, I went to a kitchen cabinet specialist, Kubiq Kitchen in Kota Damansara. The concept is quite good. You mix and match and design your kitchen cabinet based on their modular system. Got a rough estimate on the pricing but still waiting for quotation from the my others kitchen specialist. Need to compare price and see how... Anybody have experience with kubiq Kitchen?
