screen got 2 issues currently reported by users:

1. whole screen yellowish compared to other "good" ones or other model of phones. i think it is more to "warm" temperature.

2. yellowish "dots" or small area tint appears during charging or when the phone is hot (gaming).

*
how much they are selling in saberkas?

btw,. i have already warned that china_dude this is not kopitiam. if he keeps on going like this, he will be reported.

Added on March 11, 2012, 1:12 amthe battery can be removed. as long as you remove the batt cover with phillip driver. but it might void the warranty...unless, there's no warranty sticker there? brows.gif the charging, well the adapter only feeds 850+mA right? i read that sony fast charger is not out yet. but where is the fast charging technology promised? i tot it was with the phone, not the charger. doh.gif

so no reports of our local user regarding the yellowish dots or full screen yellowish? that's good! rclxms.gif but i still have to go down to the shop to test it myself before i buy. hehe

you point the question to the wrong person man. you should ask SONY!

but, as long as it can be swapped out with larger capacity batt, its ok for me. i do not practice rotating batts. either replace with large capacity or feed it with mobile powerpack 11kmaH!

and let's hope future sony firmware updates + ICS can cure the batt drain. anything that can be solved by software i dont worry that much tho.

what's so special about unibody? once dropped, you have to replace the whole thing. at least XPS lower cap can be removed and replaced. some taiwanese dropped theirs and the cap break, but there're replacement parts.

need a couple of full charge discharge cycles to "train" the battery. haha...the calibration will make the phone recognize the battery status better too.

its a norm for lithium polymer battery. once you get used to it, its ok! no worries man. and the batt initially would show lower mAH if you have software to view it. after a few cycles, it will rise to its rated mAH, or slightly higher in some cases.

how to recalibrate your batt:

Calibrate your Battery
QUOTE
1. Calibrate the battery by completely draining it until the phone completely shuts itself off.
2. Turn the phone on again and let it shut itself off one more time.
3. Then charge your phone while it is off for over 8 hours.
4. This will fully charge the battery so that when the Android is turned on, it now sees the battery as full.

It is recommended to repeat this process at least one more time.

You should see a significant increase in your battery’s charge life.
disclaimer: i do not know if this works with your phone. do not deplete your lithium batt too often to protect the batt's life. keep it charged if needed. this method is copied from various forums and as a general guide.

@SpikeTwo: Wow. I'm going to have to copy paste that info.
...hold on, I'm pretty sure my old candy bar used Lithium Ion batteries... grr, so those salespeople only told me half the story when they said to do a long charge before turning on the phone. :0

@mackzai: Samsung GS2 vs X-S? No idea lol. But considering all the rumours about GS3... maybe you might want to wait longer:) Personally I'd still prefer X-S because of the design (don't like slab-like smartphones)...

i think i need to change the title for that quote to: recalibrate how your phone reads the battery stats. laugh.gif
most sales are noobs, sad but true.
