Much easier if you let us know tank setup, experience in fish keeping and expectations?

Im planning to have a 3' or 3.5' tank. no experience in fish keeping, expectation is just a tank with 1 arowana with easy maintenance. smile.gif

At the risk of stunting the Aro, a tank with the minimum of 4ft L x 2ft  D x 1.5ft H is recommended. What type of Aro do you plan to get? Please be aware of new tank syndrome and choose the appropriate filter etc. Start right and there will be less issues even more so for a person who has no experience fish keeping. Many new owners give up because they fail to set things up properly and subsequently have to deal with fatalities etc.  It is better to ask specific questions and I am sure those here will be glad to help out.  smile.gif

Thank you. Need to locate a good place at home first. A 4ft tank might be a bit big. coz I'm planning to use the tank as a partition on my living room. Hope the sifu can help recommend some tips and tricks like where can get the tank, filters and fish at a reasonable price.

I don't know about the rest but no sifu here lol. I understand home restrictions but really 4ft is the minimum for the benefit of the fish as well as the owner. After all u wouldn't want to spend that much money only to not have the fish reach it's full potential. I would advice if you cannot get a 4ft tank then perhaps consider some other kind of fish. What kind of Aro are u looking to keep? Many places to get tanks - Kin Fatt in Kepong, Cheah Aquarium in Ampang, Xian Long in Shah Alam etc. Tell the aquarium what u intend to keep and they will advice appropriately. Some tanks come with built in filters. As for Aro, what is your budget and what type are u looking for? Choosing Aro can be a little challenging for a new comer and there are lots of entities out there that are not very honest.
