if gold base go for F1 or F2 pure bloodline. commonly has strong blue base. F1 not cheap and F2 affordable. if not get a full grown arowana with characteristics you want. Red arowana not really my forte to help out. but commonly seek for original kalimantan red. Both type require right care/grooming to develop its full potential if bought as juvenile.

bought it when around 7-8 inch. less than 5 inch cannot see obvious difference.

i suppose its age is 2 years plus. not sure what age when i bought it from my friend. size is abit smaller than expected size.

its 3 bar indo tiger i presume

the tail is nice. but cant see the chu clearly

market price varies depending upon golden covering area on the head. but generally price will be above rm 1k.

FYI. golden head can lose their 'golden head' if not taken care properly.

wanna see without the red/pink lighting. natural white perhaps

your aqua is 3X1.5X1.5 feet? if yes the width is not enough for maximal growth

high chances of crossing.

depends on you. some like reds and some like blues (malaysian Golden blue base not highback). MG crossback also can. pick your choice.
why don't mixed it.

at Bukit merah the earthen pond depth commonly around 3.5 to 4 plus feet.
in term of arowana you can get malaysian golden/crossback golden- blue base or golden base (not highback) arowana or red arowana (not rtg) because their level reaches 5th scale/6th scale (the top scale line). goggle out few pictures on arowana pond will give you idea.
price wise- smaller the cheaper

* 3-5 inch malaysian golden/crossback golden arowana range from rm380 -550 per fish depending upon the quality. have more pricey breed as well
* 3-5 inch local breed red range start from rm 800/850. if indo red arowana size start at 5-7 inch price range start at RM 1600.

buy in large quantity might get discount
