Either Red or gold. If gold prefer strong blue or purple base. Who are your list of trusted sellers? 😁
*
if gold base go for F1 or F2 pure bloodline. commonly has strong blue base. F1 not cheap and F2 affordable. if not get a full grown arowana with characteristics you want. Red arowana not really my forte to help out. but commonly seek for original kalimantan red. Both type require right care/grooming to develop its full potential if bought as juvenile.
cheers

May i know what is the market price for golden head crossback?
*
market price varies depending upon golden covering area on the head. but generally price will be above rm 1k.

FYI. golden head can lose their 'golden head' if not taken care properly.

Thanks, will try to take another video, the fish currently recovering from ammonia poisoning, blackout during weekend and the tank-mate lampam and kelah dead turning the water into smelly soup like.

He is luckily survived after 30% water change for 4 days everyday.

Even some of the scale drop and the eye blur2 on both side.

Now with heater at 30degree and water change every two days to recover.

your aqua is 3X1.5X1.5 feet? if yes the width is not enough for maximal growth

hi guys, complete newbie on arowanas but been rearing koi's for the past decade.

wondering if there's any advice on an arowana pond ? From reading , seems Arowana's prefer being near the surface, so should the pond be shallow ? water fast or slow flowing ?

Any tips which type of arowana would be more visible in a pond ? don't want to just see black shapes gliding around tongue.gif also how much space should I budget for each arowana ?

just to add: I've put a green arowana in one of my koi ponds as an experiment (pest control of those "longkang" fish). so far so good and went from ~20cm to ~100cm in about 4 months. so far no attacks on the koi despite out-growing some of them already
*
at Bukit merah the earthen pond depth commonly around 3.5 to 4 plus feet.
in term of arowana you can get malaysian golden/crossback golden- blue base or golden base (not highback) arowana or red arowana (not rtg) because their level reaches 5th scale/6th scale (the top scale line). goggle out few pictures on arowana pond will give you idea.
price wise- smaller the cheaper

* 3-5 inch malaysian golden/crossback golden arowana range from rm380 -550 per fish depending upon the quality. have more pricey breed as well
* 3-5 inch local breed red range start from rm 800/850. if indo red arowana size start at 5-7 inch price range start at RM 1600.

buy in large quantity might get discount tongue.gif
