First time keeping Aro. Need all the Sifus guidance.

Today is second day my Aro in the tank. 1st day Aro very scare. 2nd day started to eat small worm.

I also started to on the tanning light yellow & white alternate during day time.

Am I doing alright? Anyone know where can get good quality & cheap MGBB around pj or kl area?

Hi all,

Need some advise. I think this topic already been discuss many time.

I currently in very confuse state on what should I do now. rclxub.gif

Problem is about Aquarium Background...

I heard from my seller, I need to put White BackGround for Gold Aro to bring out the gold color & shine....it this true?

My problem is that my aquarium already tinted with Black 3 sides & blue on the base. With this set-up what will this effect my Aro? cry.gif

Thank you in advance...

the background is put white to increase the shine and gold ring

called WTT treatment

you can search online abt it, i have 2 crossback BB

one is 3-4 inch(almost 6 level cross with strong blue base developing) and another is 9-10 inch(close to 6 level shine)  both in white tank now biggrin.gif

Hi, welcome to your new hobby keeping Arowana rclxms.gif

I also newbie in Arowana. For me, I did put some salt & anti-clorine in the water let it aged for couple of days before using it. But, some people say no need salt just anti-clorine will do blush.gif I guess is up to you want to put or not. Maybe sifus here can come explain more about salt to us newbie blush.gif

Anyway, what type of Arowana you got from Xian Leng? Do post some photos for sharing with us thumbup.gif

I bought a small silver arowana. cost me bout Rm180.
As a starter i dunt intend to get a gold or red aro as i am inexperienced..
Ya, any idea on the salt usage for arowana ??
Or salt is just for curing a disease on the fish ?
*
That was one expensive Silver Arowana you got there sweat.gif with that amount you can get a Yellow Tail or Banjar Red Arowana.

Anyway, I heard Silver Arowana grow very long & big compare to the rest of Arowana sweat.gif Hope you got a big aquarium tank for the giant.

As for salt I follow the packaging instruction but I cut the recommended amount into half. Cause some expert say no need some say required. So, I just follow half-half loh...LOL doh.gif

For me I think the most important thing is to aged your water first for few days before you change the aquarium water (atleast one a week) & also a install a good water filter system.

I might be wrong, I also just got my 1st Arowana about 2 weeks. Now I owned 2 Arowana doh.gif

Hope others can share their experience here.
