Nagamas beautiful but very pricey compared to others.

Maybe I am poor thats why... tongue.gif

Prices at nagamans i heard insane. Far cheaper alternatives in this hobby i feel. Here is my humble comm :-

Started with about 9 of them, sold 5 and ended up with 3 chilli reds and 1 blue base. All still young, 8 - 9 inches in length, long way to go still :-

Very nice pieces. How much u let go of ur previous ones?
Hi Antzz, solid RTG you got there, nice scale coloration. The ones i let go were all high backs so i sold them for $270 each, same as i bought them.

Hi All Sifus,

I have a question about my arowana...
Why does my arowana come up and breath air ?
Even i have pumps and motor in the aquarium..

Arowanas breathe via their gills or from the surface. There are other fish that do this too like betta's and gourami's (both Labyrinth Fish). But i think arowana's do this a bit differently than labyrinth fish do, as stated on wikipedia :- "The arowana is a facultative air breather and can obtain oxygen from air by sucking it into the swim bladder, which is lined with capillaries like lung tissu"

Indeed Nagamas arowana is much expensive ... maybe it could be the rental .. mad.gif
But they do have alot of arowana to choose from...

XianLeng in Shah Alam is still my favourite place ...

I heard they have a buy back policy if you're unhappy with aro's development once its grown up. I dunno how they're gonna deal with this should anyone ever want to return the aro.

Hello fellow Aro maniacs, picked up a TINY mgbb a few days ago, a bit smaller than 2.5 inches, cutest aro i've ever laid eyes on. Fed bloodworms 3-5 times a day. Can't really eat a lot, at most 10-15 pieces of blood worms at any one time. It will be interesting to see how fast it grows in the next few months.

My aro just jumped and hit his head on the cover, hurt himself with white mark on top of his head like missing skin. It will heal right? He's swimming normally right now no signs of stress.

Why did he do this? He seems hungry though. I've just fed him at 7pm with 4 crickets. I've been feeding him 4 crickets twice daily. Is that enough? He is about 9 inches now.

So sad. sad.gif

Thats the problem with these fishes, they like to go airborne. Something scared it most likely. The mark will heal but there may be a scar. As for feeding, my Chili red is around the same size and i think that amount is fine. But its entirely up to you if you want to feed more.
