Guys ok for sump filter when the water goes down and you know you gotta top up , do you guys top up with water and anti chlorine or just water ? some forums say with just water since the anti chlorine content in the existing water is alot already. question 2 ) how much and how often do you do a WC for your tanks ? mine is a 6 footer and do you suction water from the sump or from the tank itself ?

Guys when i bought my new arowana i added this anti fungal medicine into the water as a precaution , very light dosage.it gives out a green cloudy colour ( like most of this medicines) so it's been a few days and the green ness has warn off but the cloudy ness is still there.should a 10 % water change help in reducing it ? or any other ideas you guys have to handle thing ? maybe from experience.cause most of the meds i used to use last time don't really stain the water much.

for my six footer tank i 've been using the expensive anti chlorine but for topping of of sump filter water ive been using the cheaper one cause since it's a small amount i'm scared i'll end up overdose on the more expensive stronger anti chlorine lol

wmkr , thanks for the guideline bro.never done WC to six foot tank with sump and all before.used to just do bucket by bucket for my old 4 footer but its not practical for this huge tank haha. I've been using the cheap anti chlorine for the sump cause scared of overdosing with the strong one since the cheap one is quiet weak.but i always add it in the last compartment not where the sponges are so the bacteria dont KO biggrin.gif thanks again bro.

Guys are arowanas that are labelled as High Back are they actually HBRTG ? In irene aquarium they have HB selling for rm799 BUT there are some that look like RTG but then there are a couple which are in white tank and look like normal malaysia gold arowana but still labelled as HB. Any one can clear my confusion ? or is HB just being used to indicate the degree of gold shine to the rtg's and goldies ?

Added on April 11, 2012, 4:40 pmand guys is it a safe idea to add in substrate to an already established tank ?

guys if add soil into tank , will it block the sump filter intake ? like for my tank the water flows into the sump filter through this little slit on the left hand side of the tank.pretty sure you guys know what slit im talking about tongue.gif won't the substrate block the slit and stop the water flow ?

Added on April 12, 2012, 2:40 pmmy arowana looks identical to Kelvin's . just that its maybe slightly larger and the colours are more pronounced haha

what do you mean how many compartment bro leggendy ? It's like water is sucked in , goes up then goes through a bunch of green filter medium on the side on the tank then only goes down to sump.scared that soil will block the water intake but since you've had experience in it maybe i'll give it a try tongue.gif thx for the info.

Hey guys , long time already been away from forum haha. My RTG of one year + passed on today. Feared it might have eaten part of the lightning fixture as it hit the light and broke the holster for the light a couple of days ago. Despite water changes, salt bumps and TLC , he didnt make it past a couple days after the incident. Thinking of filling the void after exams. Any suggestions for stock ? Tank is 6ftx2ftx2ft with a 3ft sump filter.
