Hey guys, would like to ask if any of you know how and where can i apply to work in country like UAE , Qatar or Europe in a contract basic as an enigneer ? Do they consider taking fresh graduate ?
Hope to get some advice from you guys thanks
*
from my observation all this while on their advertisements for middle east/UK, normally 7-8 or 10-12 or 15-20 years of relevant experience.
fresh grad of course their own country citizens by getting these experienced guys to train their own citizens. or they get some consultants structured up a training programme for their own fresh grad citizens.
very less opportunities for fresh grad but still possible.

case like if you join local companies which is MNC or foreign MNC companies set up in msia. then there may be a possible chances.

* pls take note and be alert of those advertisements, some may be scam. make sure you have reliable sources.

hey guys, I just joined a survey company that is involved in pipeline and platform survey. I'll mostly be involved in data processing of ROVs offshore (on vessels) during the inspection. most of the projects will be in Middle East region..

however, just got another offer from a local service company which provides mudcooling service and hyraulic hammers for rigs. it's a service engineer position. job scope is maintaining those two equipments offshore and also back at the onshore facility. I'm not sure in which region they normally do their projects, but their facility yard is in Kemaman..

which of these two fields is better for my career prospect in the future? which skill is more desirable? basic salary for the second offer is RM500 than what I'm getting now, hence the consideration.
*
you should ask yourself you wanna develop yourself in
1.) analytical job Or
2.) field hands-on job.

what is your strength and interest.

in this kind of working environment it is recommend to wear prescription safety glasses/normal glasses with safety glass.
contact lens is a bit risky. just personal opinion.

Today, between 3.00am - 6.00am, multiple big explosions can be heard in Labuan cause by a few big explosion at the Petronas Methanol Labuan (PML). This is after the February 2010 incident where the same plant exploded and two (2) Petronas staff dead! What the f*** are the level of expertise at Petronas nowadays?! Oil rigs by them are poorly operated all over! (you can ask any offshore oil company staff and they can tell you how bad are Petronas's) Very doubtful events occurrence in Labuan may lead to the doom of the island cause by Malaysia's PETRONAS, what a shame!"

haha

it is all depends and go back to his "contract offer letter" terms and conditions. pls do not presume the answers you getting here are "confirm" sure have. biggrin.gif

all the info you are getting here FYI only. no matter how still go back to read carefully his "contract offer letter". it is the discretion of the top management/in-charge director/manager of the particular project capex/opex "give' or "no" on the benefits, at the end of the project within timeline, etc.

Is there any ANSI standard for swivel flange for sub-sea?

I'm going to graduate around year end. I managed to secure a job with a consultant company but they don't do much oil and gas stuff. During my summer holidays, i did my internship with Aker Solutions in KL. Was quite interested in the design of the topside platform.

I wanna go back into oil and gas but at the moment, I can't find a job here in Australia that is in line with my choice. So, I had to take whatever I can first. I plan to jump back into oil and gas in like 3-5 years. You guys reckon I can?

http://www.bintai.com.my/

They have vacancy in O & G as well now..but i was wondering..anybody had experience working in this company before ? Mind telling me how was it ?

Thank U biggrin.gif

2 of my ex-colleagues started as fresh grad at there. after 1-2 years plus left and joined a M&E consultant company with better salary which i started as fresh grad in the consultant company. you will expect contractor working environment with lot of coordination and and outside environment.

if there are seniors there willing to guide you, then should be good start for fresh grad. not sure about the situation at there now.
