The sound is very feint but it's there, not sure my phone can record it but i'll try.

For me it happens at this RPM range 2000-2500, during going uphill or sudden acceleration. So if i'm lepaking around that RPM and suddenly floor the accel I will hear it, or when I change gear and RPM drops to that 2000-2500 range and i resume accel hard after gear change complete.

My description of the sound is like sandpaper rubbing against sandpaper. Th sound is there for only 1 second or so.

Dude... your details are so vague, and you expect to do comparisons with the drivers here that drives different route daily...???   

U will kill yourself if you compare this way..... MeToo claims his wife does 70% highway (100km on highway) + 30% city drive DAILY, and she hits 5.9L/100km best (ave 6.0L/100km wor).... that means she can achieve 1000km per tank.... most of us cant even smell this....

Pls give accurate comparison, what route your wife does each day, and what time?? Driving the same road at diff time of the day have diff FC, esp if morning and evening rush hour traffic.... also, how many L per top up are you getting for the 400KM...???

For comparison, my car on workday from KL to PJ morning and evening rush hour, can only go 400ish KM per 42L top up (irregardless of RON95/97 or brand).... and yes, my car only drinks Esso....
