Car unrestricted??? I have an objection, because I am going to use car with a fan underneath the car ~ Charparral ... hahaha...

Can we fix to street car? just a suggestion...

1st me not Sifu, just a busy body but I really respect  u off the ABS. tongue.gif
I reckon most of us set ABS to at least 1...  I joined some other room with ABS off but u have to keep blip the brake pedal which is call cadence braking...

Threshold braking is u slam the brake then gradually lift off the brake to avoid lock up and before turn in point.

In GT5 the braking force is just too overwhelming before u floor the brake (or 2/3) the wheel already locked up...  Discuss with friends before, all feel very unrealistic... (too bad but is true...)

Not sure what driving skill u try to improve but if u talking about real life then u are ok to settle with ABS 1 because real car won't locked up that fast, except raining &/or lousy tyre &/or super brake system...

Added on April 25, 2012, 2:11 amEvohahn,

I tried the nurburg 24hr is average 9m per lap...  So it will be 1 hr 48m (not yet include pit)...

The race time u put up is 1 hr...  So how ar ?
*
the '~' sign is estimation. Might be over 1 hour, might be less than an hour.

Okay no. of laps reduce to 10.

Yeap... but my friend who using G27 also feel the same...  boleh adjust ? hmm.gif
*
DFGT pedal... well thats why people has been modifying it.

remember that G25/27 is not officially supported by PS3 and GT5. What i do is, i just load any track, and when the car on the track, fully pressed the brake pedal. quit the session. You need to do this everytime you load GT5.

Its not the game fault, i never have a problem, just have to train your leg and feet.

Basically u mean the brake pedal too long issit ?  If the brake adjust further down then the feeling is like the brake fluid failure LOL
*
DFGT pedals lack resistance.

So with ABS at 1 , do u guys slam the brakes all the way ? or 2/3 before approaching a tight corner ( like the wall in R246 tongue.gif )

Not sure which is more effective braking with ABS on hmm.gif

Forgive my noobness tongue.gif
*
brake early. Downshift helps braking. If you are driving a regular car/GT car brake 150~100 meters before the corner. I always saw people trying desperately to brake with just 50 meters to the corner.

Racing line.Braking point. Turning point.

I prefer they do it the old way test drive only then put it in the game, instead of simply throw in new model.

Some car handling did not do very well...  Ben Colin said: If the Elise handled like in TOP GEAR CHALLENGE, he die longtime ago...

FYI, they didnt test drive all the cars and then put it in the game. Every developer has its own simulation model (mathematical model). So they can put in the car parameter such as its dimension, weight etc etc into the mathematical model - the result is how the car behave in the game. They only do selected test drive to test the mathematical model.

Yup . wasnt expected to do that well tbh. I dont know what car to use. First, tried the RX7 TC.. felt slow. Then the Arta JGTC car. still the same. So 10 minutes to race, i just pick the M3, bought the hard compound and change the gear ratio so that my car tops out at 310km/h.

Beginning of the race, started at 9th i think then i slipped down further when i spun the first lap. Finished first lap at 9.43... not bad i think. Continued driving cautiously in the opening stages because of the night phase.

Racing in the night was a beautiful thing, you can see the tail lights of the cars infront and some of the camps, if you look closely, smoke coming out from camp fire. Continued picking up places until i pass adam for the lead halfway thru lap 3. at the end of lap 3, my tyres are almost gone and had to pit, then i saw adam also coming in behind me. Interesting.

Thru laps 4 & 5 Adam continued to close the gap and at this point, my race engineer, told me that to let adam go since his tyre will last for 3 laps (lap 6). So adam pass me at the beginning of lap 6. I let him go while i maintain my pace, to preserve my tyres. I think that tactic work when he had tyres trouble in the closing phase of lap 6/beginning lap 7... so i had a comfortable lead at the end.

Jenson Button FTW!

Other countries outside europe can download and play, but most likely there wont be any further phase for them once the first phase is over this end of june. Someone posted the news of gt academy download announced by PS HK earlier
*
i still believe the ps hk announcement was the current gt5 asia event which was done thru seasonal events. did a quick check to ps hk blog, no mention of gt academy download
