My experience with my mom's Viva was that when i brought the car for the 20k service sometime last week , the S.A quoted RM 454.00 for ordinary service plus brake fluid replacement, ATF change, cabin filter, normal spark plugs and a whopping RM65 for workmanship.

After listening to him , i told him, 'u know what, i just want you to carry out ordinary service which shall only include semi-syn., oil filter, spark plugs, and make sure u air-spray the air filter.
from 454 i manage to get it down to 156.00 and workmanship was reduced to just RM 33.00..

I guess end of the day its important that u know ur car better than the S.A as u r the one driving it and make sure u know what needs to be replaced when.

for instance, Iridium is a choice and as a person who works for the automotive industry i know for fact that changing to iridium is for longevity sake and not for improved efficiency.
