Well .... Diablo 3 is suppose to be the MOST ANTICIPATED GAME in 2012 !!!! And even perhaps for this past few years if i dare say so myself.

And yet .... we are missing a sub forum for it, why???!!


Yes the game hasn't been released just yet, i understand. But it's very close to. Just recently Jay Wilson was asked on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most likely), how soon before Diablo 3 will be released, to which Jay Wilson responded saying "9".

Okay that may not be proof of much considering, their terminology of Soon and Q1 was different to what the general public understood it as.

But still there is no doubt in the fans mind the game is coming, and it's coming soon.



So we need a Lowyat Sub Forum now and not later.


So please add a sub forum for Diablo 3, because it's a huge disservice for the Malaysian gaming community that love this series but are not able to converse properly about the game with other Malaysians because of a lack of a sub forum .....

People want to talk/read about specific things rather than just general chat. Under the current situation, without a sub forum, and sub areas

e.g. class builds, lore, clan recruitment, general talk etc..... EVERYTHING gets jumbled into 1 thread and it becomes a mess o.O;

personally, I'd prefer that to wait on the release of the game first, then only the sub-forum idea can take place.

But personally i think we can use this time to talk about the game builds....

and maybe also dabble in Malaysian guild recruitment for Diablo 3. It's out soon, i rather be able to get these things done before the game is out

Although when the game is out of course skill build may change as we find out more new stuff, but it couldn't hurt to try and use the blizz calc to come up with builds and discuss on lowyat forum.

Hard to do that when it's a single thread and lots of topics are mixed around to even focus the convo on something specific...

e.g. if i post about something, then return 1 day later, i will only find the convo is talking about other stuff not related to what i wanted to talk about. Basically convos can easily sidetrack to many different types of things, hence the thread is a general chat, and nothing specific :/

And that is the gist of the issue some of us wanted to talk about specific things only now and then ...



I seriously doubt lowyat would not eventually add this, it's just that i reckon maybe now is a good time to do so, rather than wait a week after the game has already launched. Thats my own opinion i'm not forcing anyone to agree with me, that is why i made this a poll to invite others to share what they think on this matter

whats wrong with a poll ? not everyone has much to add to the topic, just a simple yes or no, maybe. If they got something to add they will thats why i didn't set it as strictly a poll to allow for debate.

Mass Effect 3
etc.

So yeah I disagree with subforum creation. It will only lure unnecessary SPAM and useless thread.

and if world of warcraft have it's own sub-forum, maybe diablo3 can too

also, i still think that lets wait for the game to be released and many had played it 1st.

IF diablo3 really does attract so many users to post and create so many threads to discuss, that time gamers hideout will be full of different diablo3 threads, hence i think other games supporter will be the one who ask diablo3 to have it's own sub-forum so that their tread won't be always on page 10..

Then should I propose a single Team Fortress 2 sub-forum then? Especially when there's workshop going around in the game and it's FREE.

And you can always start using the discussion thread to ask question, instead of creating your own thread. It won't be making any sense if nobody answered your question and your thread are being pushed back into page 10, due to unnecessary spam and thread such as "<WTS> EPIC GOLD SHINING WEAPON"

That's the kind of thread that I predict it will came out, undoubtly in the sub-forum.

i agree on having a subforum for Diablo 3. this game is not in the same scale of your normal NFS or ME3 or AC3 or the Sims. see Diablo 3 as more of like another newer version of WOW. that makes more sense right?

Diablo 3 has 4 classes (i think) with expansion in the near future to bring more, just like LOD expansion for D2. it has multiple class, with huge dungeons, and the aim is to be an online multiplayer game, sort of MMORPG with a single player campaign. so there's only 1 way to describe this game: it's BIG!

but if not mistaken i think the max party size is just 3 person? Diablo3 seems is basically just a single player game, which you NEED to be online to play, and have a choice to play with friends if want to

It's a poll, so we'll just let the poll decide then. No point trying to justify our decisions here since everyone will most probably just stick to his own justifications at the end of the day.
