Xbox360 not that popular compared to PS3... so MS should be happy u willing to put it inside a restaurant and let people play for free.

Office and Windows not the same as it is their bread and butter.

The way I see it you're not using the Xbox for profit or anything. Legally we can't lease, rent, advertise or copy the console/games without permission. Whether it's realistic or not is besides the point, but that's how it is. Anyhow, just think of it as the equivalent of letting someone who comes to your hour house to play games. There can't be anything wrong with that.

As long as its not for commercial purpose (aka making money from renting/using), I don't see why you can't do so as long as it is original.

Terms and conditions of software are almost similar. As long as its is not used for commercial purpose, they will not charge you, provided its original.

So go ahead and put it. Nifty idea you have there.

Technically you need to ask for permission/consent from MS since you are hosting a property and IP that belongs to them for use in a commercial or public area whatever for profit or whatnot.

However as most are aware the strict "enforcement" regarding this here, most tend to either turn a blind eye. laugh.gif

Should be no problem, and it is a good idea too.
But you need to make sure everything you use is original.
Original games, not modded console, original controllers and etc.
When doing business, everything has to be original.

Actually, you'll need a permit or nego with MS....but in reality, MS won't bother...unless your restauraunt rakes in USD 1 billion annually, then they'll start asking royalty.

Yeah...i got asked my MS contact last time...why they don't bring in XBOX...it seems like the mentality here is that to bring in XBOX, the sales and revenue have to match Singapore etc or a certain ridiculous level.....crazy meh...none of the exec dares to commit...so no go.

of course bro.

once a new product is launched, somebody should be accountable for the profit that it is supposed to bring in. that somebody must get a marketing budget, advertising budget, promotions, campaign etc. i actually do not understand why they are so afraid to do this. hell, sony launched officially here. they should take the gamble.

sony had a existing Capital (sony centre & support) plus, they have a large portion of electronics in the market, so launching an extra product, its not a big deal. MS has nothing of the same calibur. In SG, MS had to rely on 3rd party electronics dealers they dont even deal directly with consumers.
