I applied for a job under Jobstreet last month, just realized that when I log in to Jobstreet, under My Application, it stated:

QUOTE
Received:The employer has received your application.
Viewed X Time(s): The employer has viewed your resume.
Scheduled for InterviewThe employer has scheduled you for an interview.
Unsuccessful: Your application is unsuccessful.
Job Closed: The position has been filled or closed. Unless the employer has contacted you, it is advisable to consider your application as unsuccessful.
No Status: Employer has chosen to process applications offline.

What does it mean by Unsuccessful? My application is unsuccessful?? blink.gif

But..wait, again why does it states that The employer has scheduled you for an interview?

I just applied like not more than a month ago and yet they process candidates so fast? blink.gif

It is very confusing, as further down it states : Unless the employer has contacted you, it is advisable to consider your application as unsuccessful.

So anyone has faced this situation before?

I dont really get the the ' tricks' in jobstreet, and am not interested so.

As long as some of the jobs required us to apply via Jobstreet, I will be feel obliged to do so, i suppose everyone does right?

But the problem is, the application is so confusing right now! with referring to my question posted before.=(

Doubting my status as pending or not successful! =(

OMG!,

Who say so???

That is what NORMAL PEOPLE do and they get stuck behind hundred of job applicants in the HR process.

Meanwhile, SMART PEOPLE use their social network to bypass the HR system and contact the Hiring Manager directly.

Other than my first job, all my other jobs through 20+ years are via my social network.

I was a bit taken aback, since this is my first time application through Jobstreet, and is a first job which I look forward to work permanently right after my fresh graduation that i have ever applied.

This is really a joke for me. I am blurred! sad.gif

Now I got it, I believe a lots of fresh grads will end up in a situation like me. without knowing the ' proper' or shall i put it as ' advantageous' or smarter way like what u guys have ruled out in applying for a job.

I called the HR once before, asking her about the MT programme. I did ask her about the other possibility that whether i could directly send my application to the company, she told me better to apply it via Jobstreet!

I don't understand what it has to do with Jobstreet, so what Dreamer101 said is partly right that I don't take initiatives to make the 'review' .

Anyway, now is not the time for all the regret and grumbling. Guess I better call the HR tomorrow!

Actually what dreamer said is right. There is a reason why people ask to apply thru jobstreet and there is a reason why people ask to apply thru email. Because its easy for them to manage the applications and their database.

So, in this case, are u implying that those who are required to apply through Jobstreet should bypass it directly to HR by ' social network'?

What is the point of having a jobstreet then? blink.gif

I am a little bit confused here, most companies advertised in Jobstreet do not include the commencement date for those who are shortlisted for the job. So what if those who are final year students, who could only start after their final exams? should they state their preferable commencement date in the resume or during the interview?
