anyone try to pay agoda booking with maybank amex before?

Hi, thk for the info.
I thought paying with amex during weekend is more worth as we can get total 7.5% rebate.
Furthermore the Maybank Visa/master, 6% discount only apply on the hotel rate excluded the tax and fees.

Mind to share?

I will try with my amex card with agoda booking tomorrow.
Since agoda accept paypal, i may use paypal (link with my amex) to pay. If fail, I will pay direct with my amex.

precisely shld be 6.5%, if u count the 1x treat point from maybank master/visa.
but pls also take note that agoda payment with visa/master is only on the room rate excl tax and otehr charges as stated in T&C.

Just did it at 5pm today.
Initially plan to use paypal (link to amex) to pay, but agoda system said it will be in USD if paid in paypal.
to avoid complication, switch to amex. After the transaction, immediately receive sms fr maybank.
So it shld be capture as today transaction.

The transaction captured on monday 5th March although i did the tranx on sat. so i miss the 5% cash back...

for my case is tranx date.
tranx date on 5 march, and post date is 6 march.
i call the call center and complain. they checked my sat transaction still floating and they cannot see what is that.
I told them i can see it on my m2u transaction history.
anyhow, they ask me to fwd the agoda confirm letter/email so they will do the neccessary.

hmm.. next time, i will try paypal.

hmmm.. i book agoda on Sat, but my trans date captured was on next Monday.
So good luck 2 u.
In order 2 claim back the 5% cash rebate, pls call CS. They will advice u what to do.

CS ask me to send them the proof like the agoda receipt.
My booking was done on March. The CS mentioned, the manual rebate can only be done on 1st May.

Today receive a starbuck card from Maybank Amex with RM10 loaded.

this morning try 2 use amex card 2 pay airasiago n airasia. both failed. call maybank, they say their system under maint.

I just want to topup meal/bagage service for my trip. I try 5-6 times, my amex card cannt get thru.
I call maybank, they said my card is ok, no issue. and they keep saying is airasia problem.
I online chat with airasia support, he also dunno the problem.
u guys know what, after I change the currency to thai bath. the payment went thru.
Look like Amex card and MYR is not talking to each other when come to online, WTF!!!

for the airasiago.com, samethg, i chg the payment currency to USD, it went thru.

i used amex on agoda web n trx on sat pm but maybank captured trx day as monday. so it depend merchant.

people offer 4000 pts for trip to hangzhou in treatfair exl airticket.
Not sure how true is it?
