Just a quick question... before I apply for this card tomorrow..

1. The Amex 5x TP and 5% off on weekends is permanent and not some short term promo right?

2. When we sign up, the first year GST of RM50 for Principal and RM25 for supp will have to be paid no matter what, no way to avoid?

Cheers!

With this card the GST is nothing, you will earn back in nxt month with the cashback...haha
*
True... but I do get the same returns from the Citibank Cash Back Plat... but slightly easier with the Maybank per my calculation... so I plan to combo with OCBC Titanium perhaps can hit 80~100 cash back a month tongue.gif

ps : Citibank do have the bad habit of making me call before they waive the annual fee and gst though.. sigh

I just received a call from Maybank for their 2cards, amex + visa. I accepted it and then realise its useless for me as I wanted to apply for OCBC titanium mastercard for the 5% cash back for petrol and stuffs.

Shyt....
*
Why not combo both bro... cause the Maybank RM50 max very easy to hit the target... then u can spill over some to OCBC

i dun care if petronas get profit or not, what i really care is esso and mobil give more point than others tongue.gif ... petronas give 1point for each liter of oil while essomobil give 1point for each ringgit spent, more point more thing i can buy :3 and actually for 3000 point of smilecard you can use to purchase rm45 of petrol, maybe you can check the petrol membercards thread

Offtopic : I noticed BHP/Esso/Mobil petrol is better... especially on the RON95... Shell/Petronas cannot guna. But BHP's additives abit storng.. so certain engine will knock.

Try Esso/BHP for yourself see how it goes... I do Esso now.. cause BHP for me knocks.... I only pump Shell for their Vpower SPorts.

Been charged for late payment fees for both cards, for consecutive 2 months... sad.gif

How do you guys manage to pay credit card bill on time?
*
Er... i tend to pay my credit cards the moment I get the statement....

If I dont see the payment after a certain time, I'll just plonk in 1.5x my average spending, usually enough to cover some of next month spending as well.

Got my card today and went into my Maybank2U to put in some payment standing instruction... then I came across this small print...

**************
Note:
1. A commission of RM2.00 will be levied for each eSI credit card payment effected by the Bank.
**************

Huh?! shocking.gif

I thought any banks would be happy to have a client with SI to pay their credit card each month promptly?! doh.gif

Mine's different. Cause I got my card during the fair. So I get a special coupon to redeem a travel bag if I spend RM50.

Been using MBB2 for 1 years plus. Start using it since April 2011. Last month, I did request to increase my MBB2 CL to 5k but they only increase to 3k (still below my monthly salary). At least I dont have to keep pay my outstanding when it reach 2k.
Huh? Strange... the credit limit they gave me was more then more then 2x my monthly salary... infact Citibank also same (but MBB2 gave even more sweat.gif )

No, you cant obviously, unless you're an employee of MBB.

Btw, you can put ur monthly salary to be credited into MBB instead of what other bank you put it right now for your company.
Nah, 30k pa for MBB Gold.

36k for OCBC.  shakehead.gif

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 12 2012, 02:14 PM)

its between gold and platinum level. Is this important to you ? why dont u look at the benefit of the card itself ?
*
Not really important to me, current just got the MBB 2 plat and will be keeping the Citibank cashback (since they waive the annual fee and gst) for abit. Probably will get the Ocbc later and cancel the citi.
