10k Treatpoints for GST redemption has been deducted from my total points as per my request last week. However, this is not reflected under the card details, stil showing outstanding RM50. Is this the norm or there will be a sentence indicating that?
CS agent said it will be reflected in the next statement, but then by that time already considered non-payment..

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 1 2012, 08:56 PM) How many working days have passed? I'm not sure why yours is slow. Today is one week, 10k already deducted but not reflected in the Visa details.

QUOTE(David83 @ Mar 1 2012, 09:17 PM) If that's the case, you'll be like my last year redemption whereby the RM 50 will be reimbursed in the next bill cycle. Well ok, will monitor. If still doesnt appear, I better pay first. Thanks

QUOTE(boris @ Mar 4 2012, 01:44 AM) I see. In this case, would it be better if I apply for new card with other bank? Try to request for the CL increase by submitting the income documents first. No harm.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Mar 4 2012, 10:30 AM) Local banks sucks. Get one from those foreign banks like OCBC, Citibank or Standard Chartered. Easily between 4-10x your monthly salary. I have cards with all the three banks mentioned above and I can say that is untrue. They have been pretty strict about it.

QUOTE(CP88 @ Mar 4 2012, 02:07 PM) I've got SCB and the limit given was 4x my salary. That was before the BNM ruling. Pre-BNM ruling, the banks use CL as an extra 'tool' to attract customers. You can't get that anymore.

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Mar 5 2012, 03:46 PM) Well, judging from my short cc history. Yeah, no surprise. Many reported at the CL thread they were given high CL over their monthly income. Look at your SCB . I think BNM is aware of this and hence imposed the new ruling.

QUOTE(zenquix @ Mar 9 2012, 11:36 AM) I confused. Why do you make such a big fuss over this? Regardless when it is, you pay it when you get the statement. Simple. Bought something you cannot afford? To answer your question, if statement date is Mar 2nd. all transactions up to the posting date of Mar 2nd will be in the Mar 2nd statement. In your case, your transaction likely posted on the same day.
If you want it to fall on the next statement, then only use your card on statement date + 1. And it will not be in the statement of May 2 but will be on Apr 2. I cannot fathom why you would expect that you can delay the bill by 2 months + 20 days (unless the date you are giving is the due date and not statement date Honestly the MBB2 thread is starting to be a like CC general thread The statement in red is the best explanation. And yes, it applies to all cards in general.

QUOTE(berman517 @ Mar 9 2012, 11:09 PM) Hi...im very confused of the statement date & posting date.... can some1 define it clearly? I got my credit card last month... By using AMEX,everytime i pay the amount 1 day after i swipe it... in the end of month...i dun see any cash rebate... is that normal? And i dunno when is my statement date/posting date as last month was my 1st month... Please read up previous page on explanation regarding posting date by zenquix post #110. Call up CS to ask when is your statement date. You dont have to pay the amount 1 day everytime after using it. You are given 20 days from your statement date to settle the outstanding amount. Due date for payment is stated on your statement as well. Cashback is normally credited on the 1st or 2nd of the month. Just to check, cashback for MBB2 Amex is only for weekend transactions.

QUOTE(berman517 @ Mar 10 2012, 12:32 AM) ya...i spent on saturday & sunday...and i immediately pay up the amount in the 2nd day. to be more precise,i dun receive any bank statement for my 1st month(Feb) (probably because i clear all the debt 2nd day i swipe the card?) You will still receive the bank statement. i think the reason you did not receive any bank statement is because haven't reach the statement date yet. I suggest you to call the CS and ask when is the exact date. Added on March 10, 2012, 12:45 amCan you check your card details on M2U? maybe your cash rebate already credited on the 1st or 2nd of march without you realising it. QUOTE(koh_424 @ Mar 10 2012, 05:02 PM) Nope. Is just Gold Card. They dun1 ungrade me to MBB2. Dunno y. Have been used the card for 4yrs. Credit limit also very low. Did you apply for upgrade/change? If not, just apply the MBB2 card independently and terminate the old one.

QUOTE(CP88 @ Mar 20 2012, 10:48 PM) I've redeemed 10k TP for the service tax. Funny points have been deducted but the RM50 rebates haven't appear in my statement.. Have you encounter the same situation? Appear in statement or M2U? My case, GST offset request through phone, 10k points were deducted on the 7th day. GST rebates shown at M2U on the 11th day (this after several reminders) This post has been edited by Human Nature: Mar 20 2012, 10:57 PM
