Guys, NOOBS is easier to use than Raspbian? Or NOOBs make path to Raspbian easier? sweat.gif I'm confused.

And which one cheaper? Buy R-pi and casing from Element 14 then buy the rest locally such as SDcard, cable, USB wifi dongle. Or buy everything from Element 14/ Ubitap. So far I been filling my shopping cart in Element 14 and I notice one WIPI price can get me two mini/ nano USB at Ubitap.

NOOBS makes it easier to install an OS to the card. Think of it as an installer that resides in the card itself.
With NOOBS, you can install Raspbian (and a few others) wish just two or three clicks.

The downside is, it uses about 1.2 gig for the recovery partition.

If you plan to use only Raspbian, I recommend you to use the regular image flash to the card. Not very difficult to do. It just take more steps and more files to download than NOOBS.
I guess you can't get all the cheapest thing in one place tongue.gif . Happy shopping!

Yeah, I agree mate. If all cheap, how to untung? Hahaha... I understand mate but due to my location, it's hard for me to shopping from multiplaces with different time of parcel arrival, complicated story. cry.gif

BTW, I think will go for Raspbian because I like to play with Linux. Can I use USB port to power up? Do I need special command etc? What I mean is
Adapter> USB port> R-Pi.

But can the USB port used together as storage expansion and power supply? sweat.gif
