Just want to know what is the streamyx best effort speed provided by them. I mean if we apply for 1MB we won't get the full 1MB instead we get something like best effort speed define by them. I have been told by the staff before but forgot already whether it is 80% or 90% of the bandwidth speed.

sometimes u can get full speed if u are near the exchange and also your line is good but above 80% is very good already

i am in kelana jaya. Those days i can get full speed through BT

Since the topic started already why not add a poll to see how well streamyx is doing.

380kbps?!! wahh.. mine 66 package just only 50-60kpbs max! so much different? 1mb or 2mb package oh?

Last time their best efforts is 60%. that means u will get atleast 60% of the advertised speed. But now it's best efforts only a.k.a main suka hati diorang efforts.

if 0% effort , u get 0Kbps


Thats how they work....Best effot..same goes to JARING and other "best effort" ISPs

i get full all the time. 105/110kb/s

my maximum speed is only 100kB/s. cant get higher than this more...

is it the sum of u/ and d/l speed?

cos i think i get only 30%-40% of the advertised speed; which is 384kbps.

That's pretty low.
If you're on the the 1Mbps package your download speed
should be twice that fast.

Are you actually trying to say that you have 50-60kBps(kiloByte)? How could you have a 50-60kbps(kilobit) on a streamyx/broadband connection? I will sue streamyx if I get a 50-60kilobit connection.

50-60kilobit is slow.... i get this kind of speed before, when my line got problem.. TMnUTs

I get 105~107KB max with 1Mbit.

Well, guess wht? i am payin' RM88 for the service. you bet it's slow here... me in KL area somemore (OUG).
think i better call up tmNut to fix this problem.

btw, i heard from some1 tht now BT can go max 40 over bps now compare to last time ? agree?
