bensow: great details from blu3hamm3r but I think it's also important that you know what you wanna collect. Mostly the theme of your collection will determine what brand you purchase.

For instance if you're into Ferrari's, only Hotwheels/Hotwheels Elite does them for 1/18 scale. Kyosho have some Ferrari's but they're all classics. If you're into JDM, then Autoart has more variety. If you're into Porsche, then Norev and Autoart does them as well while Kyosho doesn't. If you're into classic VW's, Renault or Peugeout, then OttoMobile does them. So it's really more about your collection theme than the brand.

bensow: 1/24 is not really a popular scale so the choices are quite limited. For R8, I think Welly does them. Check out diecast-empire.com. They have them in stock if I'm not mistaken.

Kyosho also does R8...Price won't be too expensive.

i never see welly one but for maisto i am not so satisfied. or you can buy 1/18 maisto r8 which is not bad.

btw yesterday i went tesco & saw their 1/24 cars price revised to RM19.90, got aston martin, lambo superlegara, LP670, SLR, & some others, dint see clearly.

BenSow: Already stated is "TESCO" brand.

with openable parts. last time it was RM3x if not mistaken. now RM19.90 really a good deal. but i not sure whether got R8 or not. as monday what i saw is LP670, SLR, Aston Martin & a Superleggara. recently tesco selling toys really at a very good price. even deluxe class transformers, also selling RM25.90 only. LOL.

If you're referring to the Tesco one, I think you'd be better off checking in Tesco; don't think any online retailer has those, not any I know of at least.
