Guys, I wanna buy electrical appliances, maybe rm2000 only,by using my hongleong cc. Then I want to convert the transaction to flexi payment plan. So, after swipe my cc to pay the thing, just call hong leong cs and tell them I wanna convert to flexi payment plan right? Easily approved or not? Cause someone in this forum shared his experience, he call hong leong cs to convert his transaction and the cs told him she will give him a call in next 3days. Lastly the girl didn't call n its appear rm1500 in his next bill.. Quite risky then if not approved.

Hi guys.

My brother just received an sms on 24dec from 66300, saying, "RM0.00 Encik XXX bin XXX, ur AmBank Credit Card app has been approved and the card will be sent to ur Card Delivery address asap"...

Then today, he received an sms from 66399 saying, "RM0.00 : Activate your AmBank Credit Card XXXX********XXXX before use. Yr Activation Code is XXXXXX. Refer to yr Welcome Pack or ambankgroup.com for steps"..

But the thing is, he never applied credit card from ambank. Is this a scam or what?

On September, he applied car loan from ambank, and yes its approved. But then he didn't applied for the ambank cc. Must be the staff at ambank used my brother's details to apply the credit card (without my bro permission @ he didn't knew about it) so that the staff can get komisen huh??

Yeah, he sure he didn't sign for any credit card application form. The bank staff never mention about cc at that time. Or maybe the bank has cc offer at that time that my bro didn't knew. He will go to the bank, ask them about this and cancel the card. He already had a cc from other bank.

Update: my bro went to the bank branch near his house (not the branch he applied for car loan). Yeah, there's a cc registered under his name. The bank staff told him to wait for the card to arrive his home, then cancel the card. The bank staff told my bro, maybe there's a staff at the car loan bank branch took advantages of his details to apply for the card to get commission.
