dear all, my friend has recently approached the maybank CC centre in 1U, and inquired regarding obtaining a credit card without pay slip... the support there claimed that CC can be applied as long as there is strong financial funding in your FD/savings (ranging from 20k-70k)... anyone have got any idea about it?

So what are the criterias that must be met when you apply the gold card? Anyway, got some info from milesnmore regarding FD being tied down to the bank even if it's possible to apply... so is yours being tied to the bank, since you dont have any payslip?

i contacted maybank before, and they say its POSSIBLE to get a CC provided you pledge your FD with them.. with the amount 15k, i don't think they will give you a good amount for credit limit... maybe 2-3k max (i think).... but it's possible lah, you should go to any nearest bank branches and consult them diff branches have diff verdicts depending on branch manager
