Nope, not that straight forward. I don't know what is your understanding about dispute cases.
1. Someone use your card/fraudulent transaction without your consent and you notice it.
2. You report it to the bank to block your card
3. In some cases, you can report to the police.
4. Your post a dispute transaction to the bank
Next would be
A. Bank will investigate and this can take up to 90-120 days. Sometimes can even take longer.
B. Meanwhile bank will ask you pay first and they will refund later. Not unusual and it is recommended to avoid interest charges.
C. Completion of investigation, the bank will refund (if you have paid) / perform a reversal.
You need to understand
- Police report is not a ticket for the bank to "waive" or clear the disputed transaction.
- Removal of transaction is not immediate and you need to wait till they complete it.
- CS is not the one doing the investigation, so calling and pressuring them would not help.
- If you are truly innocent then no issues. If there's a probable argument of negligence on your part, you are still liable for the dues.
- Some banks are "trickier" than others when it comes to "recovery" methods. Good luck on this.
I'd suggest just to sit back ... judging from your reaction - this is your first cc dispute case with the bank right ?
Hi,
Thanks on your effort for detailed explanation bro

Well, a good new came to me today, checked my online banking and noticed my credit card refund was reflected ! but still no news for debit card transactions yet
For my case, i believe im innocent as i did not perform those transaction at all. My wallet was missing and, by the time i realize it was used up till max !
I made a police report but according to them, its very unlikely to locate the thief ... by now im almost given up. Just hoping to get refund from bank

This kinda dispute would be my first time. Previous cases were like double posting, pymt not updated etc ...
