Hi, I have some question regarding credit card approval.

I never had any credit card before (1st time applying for a credit card) & my salary is RM24k per annum. I just want to apply a card mostly for online shopping.

I applied the Citibank Gold Visa & just received a letter from them today stating that they're unable to offer me a Citibank credit card at this point in time.

Does this mean I will not be able to apply for any Citibank credit card anymore? And will this also indicate that it will be difficult for me to apply a credit card from other bank(s)?

Thank you for any kind suggestions & advices in advance.

You can try apply for Citibank credit card in few months time. Try applying with the bank your salary is deposited into. But if purely for online shopping, I would think Public Bank cash back Debit Cards are pretty good where your name is embossed onto the card.

I guess I'll have to try again in a few months time then. PB Debit Cards is it? Will look into it too.

Anymore recommendations & advices will be greatly appreciated smile.gif

Thanks & have a Happy New Year smile.gif
