Indeed it is, very comprehensive. Recommend new card users to give it a read.

QUOTE(bennyt @ Aug 5 2012, 05:20 PM) I wan to ask for foreign bank CC (eg. Citibank & UOB), do I need to call to card centre to activate for oversea use? Cos Local bank need to do so. The purpose of calling is not actually to 'activate', but to inform the bank that you might be using the CC overseas to avoid card being rejected and so on. No difference between local or overseas bank as Citibank and SCB often ask me when is my exact travelling date. This post has been edited by Human Nature: Aug 5 2012, 05:23 PM |

QUOTE(vinvon23 @ Aug 8 2012, 11:11 PM) wanna know how the bank usually give credit limit? Let say if with 2 cc then credit limit is about 30% of the annual income does this consider low or high CL? does high credit limit affect approval of a new cc? For cardholders earning RM36,000 per annum and less, the maximum credit limit extended to a cardholder shall not exceed two times their monthly income per issuer. |

QUOTE(dig_dug @ Aug 14 2012, 05:21 PM) at first I am worry but after that he sent me a mail using his ocbc email address only I dare to proceed to sent my details to tat guy. What you can do now is to contact OCBC call centre and ask if there is any record of your application. Then maybe verify whether that guy is working for bank or just an agent.I didnt request him to pm me, He c i drop some comments asking for the ocbc CC I think.... a bit worry |

QUOTE(patienceGNR @ Aug 29 2012, 06:16 PM) Hi, I have questions regarding this service of AEON's credit service. I myself (and my family, dad, mum) have never used credit card before as to what happened to my uncle, well - you know. Hi, i dont think that is under credit card. But now I'm grown up and my dad has never used credit card, he doesn't know a wee bit about this. I have the moolah but I do not want to spend one lump sum on a product costing a thousand or more. Case is like this now : I am interested in buying a new TV, a 32" or 40" LCD/Plasma/LED TV for the family, again, I do not want to pay one lump sum. So how does this HERE service work? I do not have a credit card myself and have no plans for that yet. I need enlightenment from the seniors and the wise elders. Thank you. QUOTE(patienceGNR @ Aug 29 2012, 06:46 PM) Here's 'how to apply'http://www.aeonmalaysia.com.my/acs/af/kona...811#page=page-3 I think you can head over to Aeon CS credit counter and ask them to explain how it works and the calculations. |

QUOTE(copyninja4 @ Aug 30 2012, 01:21 AM) Sifu pls help : NOob Question From your example, you only need to pay the statement balance of RM1000 before the due date. The RM300 will be reflected in your next statement.Outstanding balance: RM1300 (RM1000 + RM300) Statement balance: RM1000 Payment due date: 17 September 2012 Statement date: 28 August 2012 If i purchased something (RM300) using CC on 28th August (same day as my statement date), in order to avoid interest, should i pay all RM1300 before 17th September, or just RM1000? Thanks |

I was charged two times for a transaction. First swipe failed but it went through anyway, so no slip. After receiving 2 sms alerts, I confirmed the double charge with SCB SC and CL deduction from online banking. The SC said this is between me and the merchant. Is this correct?
The merchant claimed there is no record of double charge after doing the 'closing' of credit card accounts and will have to check with the e-pay vendor for full record. This may take several days. The funny thing is, the merchant will do refund by crediting the amount to my saving account insread of doing reversal from my credit card. At the same time, I have also flagged the double charge.
