guys any charges if i want to downgrade my citibank platinum to clear card?
*
I don't think that is considered a card upgrade or downgrade. Regardless of that, the RM50 GST will be charged.

hi all, is there any problem if apply 2 cc in same time??
*
QUOTE(Ketchum @ Aug 2 2013, 04:16 PM)
Other than rm50 fee need to pay, I do not see any problem as long as your financial can afford it nod.gif
*
Actually it depends on the income eligibility.

For cardholders earning RM36,000 per annum and less, cardholders can only hold credit cards from a maximum of two issuers.

Note that it is two issuers, not two cards.

If you never apply for the card, just file a complaint to Bank Negara.

anyway to check credit cards status whether approved not by online? or must call?

You can view the card if you have the online banking system provided it is auto-linked. Applicable to certain banks only.

Sigh. Got a car loan with AmBank and just received a SMS from them that my credit card is approved. I didn't even apply for it. doh.gif mad.gif Have to call and cancel before GST is charged to me.

Is this a norm for banks to do this if someone applies loan from their banks?
*
Some will do this. You can actually lodge a complaint as BNM has prohibited the offering unsolicited pre-approved credit cards.

In the end, someone from CS called me and just cancelled for me over the phone.
She also acknowledged that this is a pre-approved credit card and I didn't ask for it.
I didn't hear them mentioning about credit card, if they do, I will definitely reject it.
Anyway, the whole process of taking up loan, I didn't meet up with any bank officer. The dealer dealt directly with them and bank just called for verification. laugh.gif
*
That is good. They probably got worried that you might write in to BNM laugh.gif

I tried UOB and Citibank. Public bank wanna offer me card, but i was in the meeting that time, i terminated the call and they never call back.
1st time UOB appy thru bank near the Desa Park City branch. Required utility bills, but never informed me and the application expired?

2nd time, UOB agent say anything can contact her via email or sms. However, once i prepared the document, call and email never reply  doh.gif

3rd time, Citibank. When i free to response. She send me late june. i reply in the mid of July, and she has resigned  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  doh.gif

4th time, register online for OCBC. Let's see from there.

Really tired with all this hassle.
*
i just obtained my UOB card. You can pm me for the UOB staff's email if you are interested. Just recent, so she should still be there laugh.gif

Hi, I would like to ask a question.

I have received the cards and I do not wish to activate it, will it get terminated automatically or do I still need to call them to cancel it?

Thank you.

Thank you. I have called them and cancelled one of my card.

I was shocked when I received 2 UOB CCs.

Cheers.
*
You better check whether you will be charged with GST for that terminated card or not. Also, if you are not happy with this, you can file a complaint. It is time for the bank to stop this practice. In future, make sure you cancelled out the other cards in the application form.

Write a complaint to Bank Negara. Remember to mention that you have contacted them 6 times but no remedial action.

Get it for your entire family. it's FREE and got nothing to loose.

Even if flying with AA, get the Big Shot account. Now remember this, make sure for each individual use a different email account when signing up, e.g.. your wife and children as each individual will have their own account (for whichever airline).

Opps, i thought minto is referring to miles-linked credit card blush.gif

Hi I don't know whether I'm in the right thread or not. I'm still new in Credit Cards so I believe this question is a bit redundant to some of you guys tongue.gif

By the way I'm using Maybank 2 Cards (AMEX & VISA)
1) Last weekend I spend quite numbers of transactions. As I know, with AMEX I can enjoy 5% rebate. How do I get the rebate? Is it auto rebate immediately or take a while. Should I make payment first to my cards billing or wait until rebate first?
2) I'm planning to make EzyPay, so the monthly installment will be appear on my bill right?

Thanks in advance!
*
1) rebate will be credited on the 1st or 2nd of each month. you may use the rebate to offset the statement balance
2) yes
