After a few hit and miss, finally getting the hang of flashing rom and kernel..kinda. Quite happy now with superROM v2 and Lucifer kernel. Thanks to the help and advice I've got here.

One question though, is it normal for a yellow triangle appeared at model logo bootscreen?

When I clear memory in task manager there's certain app I want to exclude so the system won't close it like radio that running in the background and Magic Locker. Is there anyway I can accomplish this using stock apps?

I think super rom v1.0 must be installed first before anyone can flash to the v2.0 as instructed from xda page iinm. I just flash super rom v2.0 recently.

-flash to Lucifer kernel using Odin mobile as the kernel has built-in cwm. Lite version also can.
-backed up all the thing necessary.
-download super rom v1.0 from their page and extract it to internal sd memory to sdcard/clockworkmod/backup folder. (if you can't find backup folder in clockworkmod directory simply created one)
-reboot in recovery (can access easily by holding power button and choose recovery)
-wipe data, cache, dalvik cache
-select backup and restore in cwm menu, then select backup. If you extract it correctly there's should be the rom name from the option then just proceed.
-wait until it finished flashing and reboot the phone.

Now to update to version v2.0
-download the super rom v2.0 file and put in internal sd card as it is. No need to extract or anything.
-reboot in recovery.
-select install zip from sd card and find the super rom v2.0 zip file and select it.
-wait until finish flashing and reboot the phone.
-voila, super rom v2.0 installed.

Maybe this simply the case of that zip file is corrupted. Go download it again as mine working fine downloading from the same site.

Well I've got the G version and I can't wait to get rid of it once S3 is out and I've got enough dough to buy it. Why? Let me tell you why and bear with me its quite long whining. Spend almost 2K on a phone I can say its not wrong for the long whining.

Its all because of only one aspect of the phone but its a major aspect because I use it most of the time when using this phone. Music player. I never installed cracked apps as advised by most user here so the phone should be doing fine but no. Its never fine.

First, it freeze when I put it in my pocket after I played an mp3 player. Regardless whatever player I used. Stock player, winamp, poweramp. Its not normal freeze but you-can't-do-sh*t-unless-you-take-off-the-battery-freeze. It happen every time after the phone been up for quite some times. If restart, the same case won't happen again.

Then there's the skipping of the track problem. When the mp3 player been using for quite some times, the player will randomly skip some tracks. Sometimes the whole playlist. It started with minor skipping within the song then it goes haywire skipping all those track as it pleased. This also happen regardless whatever player I can throw to the phone. I try paused it and go back the track it skipped and played it again, still can play fine then after a while skipping will began again. Its annoying as sh*t.

That's all happen on a stock rom. Then I followed advice from fellow forumer to change to custom rom and flash different kernel and now I'm using superROM v2.0 with superatmos kernel 2.1 (using Lucifer for a while but battery draining double fast so change back to superatmos).

Okay, the freezing problem gone with the wind. But still there's a few freeze or minor hang when using other apps but those doesn't bug me much. But the skipping track problem still persist and it bugs me as a hound from hell. A few other nights when on the way back from work I felt like I want to threw this phone to pieces when the skipping problem still occurred even after I flashing rom and kernel if not for its 1.7K price. If it cost me 200 ringgit this phone would be already been in pieces somewhere at Kastam JB.

So, I thought maybe its microSD because I'm using 32GB class 4. So, I took the 16GB class 10 from my now useless Mi300 and tried it. Got off from work open player and played the files. For quite some time it was doing okay. I felt happy but only those happiness to be shattered into pieces as I almost reach my destination minor skipping within tracks occurred. Then the major super freaking annoying major skipping tracks began. It still happening on class 10 microSD but took a little longer. FYI, this problem never occurred when I'm using my CSL Mi300 and even the now super useless HTC Touch before. Other aspect of S2 works like charm and I love every other thing on the phone just the music player irritates me to the death.

My impression towards Samsung phone degrading. Might even considered now about that S3. Sigh~

Nahh, too much hassle for a basically the same phone. I'd rather wait for S3 or maybe even considering iphone 5 even though I never like apple product that much.

Nope. I know there's the option in poweramp or playerpro but already untick it. Still skipping. And its not just while I'm walking around. Even I'm standing still waiting for the bus the problem still occurred.

No silly. I know what shuffle is about. I rather felt insulted you think I'm kinda have low intelligence that don't how those simple things work. When in minor skipping, the player will skip maybe 0.5~1 secs in the song which believe me it'll annoyed you to death if it happen a few times in a song. Then there's a major skipping where the player simply skip randomly the next song on the list saying because the it can't handle the audio or some sh*t. But if I manage to pause the play list and goes back to the same song it skip, it still can be played just fine. So, I don't think certain mp3 files I've got is corrupted or something. Tchh~

This is what I've been thinking after reading a post few pages back saying microsd cause some of the freezes some user experiencing before. But there isn't much more space in my internal sd card to compromise for my quite extensive list of mp3 because those games with big files such as MC3, Dead Space, Let's Golf 3, Asphalt6 etc..

But maybe I'll sacrifice some of the least playing games later if the problem still persist after I flash to Galaxy RC4.1 as mentioned by a fellow forumer here.

Mind sharing any tips or links of guideline about this?

But using video player is no trouble at all even those 1GB mkv is just fine on the long run. That's why it bugs me why the hell it can't handle those simple mp3..

Demm, I have the same problem and I thought its gone after flashing the rom and kernel. After reading this post trying to listen to the music again using earphone and yeah it happen again. It freeze. Sigh, I guess its the microsd problem.

Do you put all your mp3 files in the external microsd card? do you also have problem where the player randomly skipping the next track in the list saying it couldn't handle file or some sh*t?

Sorry to burst the bubble to all the G defender, but I think it IS the phone problem. It is Samsung fault because of the glitch on this microsd problem. Because quite some people who never installed pirated app, flashing rom like me also facing the same problem. Maybe it about luck because randomly happen to certain user only but still it certainly faulty on the phone. Ok, maybe there's a solution or getaway step to avoid this but it doesn't cover the fact the phone have a faulty. Spending big on the phone, who knows it also double triple the trouble. Yeah, Samsung does screw it this time.

Wanna ask something here. I bought my SGS2 phone from a fellow forumer. During test all checks out well. The IMEI number matching the box and phone and so forth. The only concern I have is I think my phone is not registered on the e-warranty system. I ask the seller a few times already saying that he'll look into the matter and will get back to me which he never was.

How to check whether my phone is registered in the warranty system or not. And in case if its not registered, can I send it to service center for service or warranty? How do they check the phone?

But I'm using U-mobile. Can use any of those number?

Anyone know why I can't see NOVA and Osmos HD in my Google Pay. I want them. Any other mean to download these two? The offer will expire sooon~
