Wow thanks, may I know is there any efficient way to backup all my contact list and other information? I worry once i update it, my contact list disappear. Thanks sifu.... notworthy.gif

If not mistaken before you update your firmware, Kies will prompt you to backup your data, you can then backup with Kies.
For contact I suggest you sync with Google Contacts.
SMS and so on you can download MyBackup Pro in Google Play, but whether will it be compatible to restore in ICS I'm not sure.

thanks
if not using kies, what is the other way to update? odin?

I would suggest to wait a few days until our XDA developers come out the Odin flash-able version. Watch out in Intratech thread.
If you update through Kies you might get a new bootloader.
Kies is well known to cause problem as well.

Tried playing Asphalt 6 after so many months, lagged like a slideshow even with my tweaks. Then tried changing pairs of governers and schedulers and still did not help at all.

Switched over to NEAK and it ran super smooth. Not to mention everything else is smoother.
*
Weird, I never had lag on Asphalt 6 on any kernel.
But Siyah 2.6.13 is not so good on battery in my phone.
May plan to switch over to NEAK too, but ICS is just around the corner LOL a bit lazy. laugh.gif

I have asked this question before and some people in this thread suggest me to spray with white paint, or whatever color you want..
Don't know they are joking or not..

Added on March 10, 2012, 8:46 pmMy gosh why does asphalt 6 lag so much? On siyah jitter n lag, on neak on ondemand and lulzactive also jitter plus lag also doh.gif does playing market version help?
*
What is your version of Asphalt 6?
I play it on CFroot, Siyah never lag also, I'm playing the WCG version which is free for Galaxy S2.
Do you underclock or CPU or GPU?
Try set everything on default and see. (Without setting governor etc)

Regarding the Face Unlock, I think it would be more practical if it can use to lock Messaging apps and so on.
As like when your friend is using your phone they tend to sneakily go check your message or picture, so a face unlock may comes in handy, of course password lock still better. biggrin.gif

That would be nice, hopefully ICS will improve focusing on S2,S2 has subpar focusing
*
Agree, one of the things I'm disappointed about this phone is the infamous camera pink spot and weak focusing ability.
But thank god I don't have the severe FPS drop in video recording like some others that have different camera firmware. flex.gif

I have no problem running MC3 market version, using custom ROM and kernel.

Nandroid by default is save to internal SD.

In titanium backup state I got 281 app.
Maybe that's why so long,

Play with miui for awhile. Big big culture shock!
The launcher sucks till the max. There is no app tray.

Everything is just....weird.
The only thing nice is when you lock screen, got a 'old TV get turn off' animation which is really really cool.
Other than that, it really is a downgrade compare to touch wiz.

No task manager, stupid launcher.
Animation all equally smooth with stock touch widz.

I see no reason to stay in that rom, restoring with cwm now. :-)
Now if only I can get that lock screen animation. Got to start Google about it.
*
You should have know that about MIUI before you flash it, wonder why that are the reasons you restore back.
Even in MIUI you can change to other launcher if you want, maybe you already get used to TouchWiz that's why you feel MIUI is not good.

on another note.has anyone use sandisk ultramobile 32gb on their phones?is it supported.the link is http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile1-me...dhc-memory-card
*
I think putting that card in our phone is overkill.
I just use a normal Sandisk Class 4 32gb is enough for me already, no problem in recording 1080p also.

When I switch on my phone,is hang on the first welcome page( SAmsung Galaxy s11)...I can go to download mode and recovery mode, but the recovery mode cannot restore back..the error message is cannot mount recovery mode.
I have try use odin mode to restore the lightening rom ,My problem still exist!!! HOW???????
*
Download any stock ROM from Intratech's thread.
Go to your recovery, do a factory reset and wipe cache.
After that switch off the phone, go into Odin mode.
Flash the stock ROM.
After you successfully flashed the stock ROM and make sure everything works fine, you can now flash to Litening ROM and restore your nandroid backup (if you made one earlier).
