for the S2 network setting, youguys keep in on GSM/WCDMA auto mode? or WCDMA only?

this could be the culprit of my problem then. some nuts on the net highly recommends putting it on WCDMA only.

but whenever i make phone calls, it get cuts off halfway while speaking, sometimes seconds after speaking. one time i noticed it automatically goes into airplane mode. i was convinced it was a software issue. googled it, and saw SO many other users going through the same issue. many claim its a hardware problem.

i browsed through network settings ,and notice that option GSM/WCDMA, i googled it, and realised one or 2 guys saying that if we put in WCDMA only, we will have problems making calls, so i put it in auto, and havent had a disconnected call from mornign till now.

so i think i can safely say, this was the freaking culprit of turning my airplaned mode on randomly during calls and disconnecting.

haihs. in the end, the only solution that solved my internet network issue switching between H+,H was *#301279# suggested by sngiapoe

and the WCDMA only (which i googled was suggested by some other forum) option just gave me more problems.

oh no. meanign to say, this might not be the culprit?

oh crap. ok, i think im gonna get usb jib, reset the binary counter, go over to samsung and see if can get replacement

assuming leaving it on auto, the call drop issue doesnt happen, should i just keep the phone?

or should i still return n get a replacement,it as it might be hardware related?

thats going to be difficult, cause it happens randomly, sometimes seconds making a call, sometimes 10mins during a call..

great. god only knows how long its gonna take to get it "fixed". haihs. hope my problem is resolved in auto mode. really dont wanna be sending in the phone.

anything software related im willing to do it, and learn at the same time. will update end of the day see if it happnes again.

that day i posted about the disabling fast dormancy on the phone. i ive done that. for some reason i checked last night it enabled again.

swapping modems? Whats that bro..no ive never did it and this is the 1st time im hearing it. how do i go about that.

im rooted with superatmos 2.1.

ooohh. this is interestin, i havent come across any threads saying i can/should do this.

flashing a new modem process similar to rooting? ill google this up, but any comments or guides will be appreciated. maybe a particular modem you guys are using etc.

im on superatmos 2.1 dzkl3, g model.

im on 2.3.6 G model. never had hang issue after rooting.

before rooting had some camera issue, it always hang.

bro i browse tru the xda developers side, they didnt mention that cant use on G model, they even mention can use on any firmware or rom. and there is so many modems.

hmm..ok most of you guys flashed your modem too?

right now my prob seems to be ok after using auto GSM/WCDMA, my calls don DC anymore.

but im now gonna google up about this modem thing..a lot of ppl claim bettter speeds and clearer calls after changing modem. if anybody have any recommendations for a good modem for G model will appreciate it.

currently trying to flash to superRom, i have installed CWM on the phone.

the guide says im suppose to :

v1.0:

Download rom from the link below.
Extract the zip. You will find a folder.
Copy the folder to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/
Go to CWM recovery
Go to backup/restore option
Select SuperROM_v1.0_I9100G

but when i extract the folder, they say some file is corrupt etc.the only zip file shown is named data.ext4.tar

i read on the net they said the to put the zip file in SD. im confused a little affraid.

currently on superatmos 3.0. it comes with CWM pre installed.

now im trying to install superRom V2.

whenever i boot to recovery, it comes as "blue 3e" recovery, and i have read that we cant flash using this right?

when i try flashing it says "signature verification failed"

guys any idea on my issue?

the option in CWM, wipe/factory reset.

i read that it doesnt delete images, how about contacts,apps and messages/sms?

guys i dont know what i did but im worried man.

i wanted to flash another modem. so did some checking and wanted to try out KG5 and NEKF2.

so the isntructions say just copy into sd card, flash to recovery mode via cwm, install zip file from sd.

after doing so, my phone has no reception and keeps asking to insert sim card. whats going on ?

i have a zip file in my sd card saying efsbackup.

how do i use this to restore my efs?
