Bro not referring to wakelock, referring to the phone difficult to get out of sleep mode/standby mode. The screen just doesnt turn on.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes:

A friend of mine dropped his Samsung Galaxy S2 in the toilet bowl and the phone got drenched in more than just water (he had just taken a sh*t).

I think he had taken apart the phone and dried the parts with a hairdryer, before trying to restart the phone again. After one day, he tried again and the phone could turn on and seems to be working normally (can play Angry Birds), can even make call. But there is no sound, cannot hear anything even after the call is connected, and cannot SMS.

So he sent to the Samsung repair centre in Low Yat Plaza and now they tell him that the motherboard has short-circuited due to water damage and need to replace with new one: RM780.

What do you guys think? Is Samsung's repair centre trustworthy?

I think there is something fishy about TSF Shell launcher....they supposed to launch by Feb but till date nothing in Market yet.....I tried going to their website but cannot access anymore....hmm....something is not right...

Hey guys,just saw an app called Mobile Odin Pro on the market. The app has a function dubbed Everrot. Basically,what it does is keeps the root for the phone even if you flash it to other latest stock ROM. Is this function 100% reliable?

If so,it'll make less of a hassle when the new stock ROM arrives. IMHO,the only app I consider to be worth investing right now,if it works that is.

This is my theory. Most of us having problem playing with MC3 are those who downloaded the Free Promotion from Samsung Apps.

After you install, you can play. It recognises your existing ROM when it was downloaded. Once we flash to another ROM, MC3 will not be able to play....

Siyah feel the same.  Not much changes.  U can try if you want.  Its stable no issue after some minor initial bugs.

Not sure if cuz of redphill or the sensor itself, but auto brightness always set the brightness abit too low, especially after taking picture then view, no idea why the brightness become 0 till need exit and change brightness agn

Well diff people diff taste. Which is good in a way if you use siyah as you can change the brightness to suite you. Just that all along it is not user friendly as you need to use scripts. But once the app it out it will be alot easier and hopefully people will stop complaining.

My gf I9100 non-G also have problems when flash custom ROM into it.
I'm not expert but I used to flash a lot of ROMs in my own GalaxyS2.
But these 2 days when I flash either CheckROMv4 or V6 into my gf S2, the phone keeps acting weirdly, sudden hang and freeze, market crash constantly, notification bar freeze etc etc.

I always wipe everything before flash, sometimes twice, I even format /system /data /sdcard /emmc separately.
Is there a problem when directly flash 2.3.6 ROM into 2.3.3 stock ROM?

Really headache, stick back to XWKF1 for her for now.

i dont have any issue at all after flashing CRv6..only that one time I want to flash battery theme causing bootloop..either then that, no issue with jkay or market..
