oh btw my friends iphone 3gs sent warranty AFTER the 1 year, around 1 year 6 month i think.
BTW a tip, if they say why your iphone reset factory settings,
say la you read in a forum and it said to reset to factory settings to get it to work again.

Why would they ask the reason behind the phone being reset to factory settings? If I was going to send my phone for repair or exchange it within the warranty period, I would definitely erase all my data before doing so. It's just common sense to do so.so you wont get a new set for the home button...
