Hi guys , i was wondering if my iphone 4s (from Maxis) hav problem like Home button issue, or Speaker no sound etc

can i get a FULL BRAND NEW WARRANTY Claim from Apple ? One on ONE FULL NEW SET ?

Or apple will just Repair the malfunction part for you ?

OR Apple will exchange another used iphone (iphone where got some minor problem complaint by other owner , BUT ALREADY Repair-ed) FOR YOU ?

Coz sometimes we really dont know whether the Exchanged phone is it REALLY BRAND NEW UNTOUCHED Phone , or used phone but PACK LIKE BRAND NEW.

Ya i know iphone is world largest hp company (wont tipu customer i think) , But if small minor problem also change new set , den the old set they THROW it ? lol

Anyone 1 on 1 claim before ? mind share ur experience ?

means when we receive refurbish product , apple just change the website checking date and hence making it BRAND NEW SET MAR

I claim before. One to one replacement but it is "refurbished set" technically it is like new and you have to accept it unless there is also a problem with the replacement.

may i know the reason you claim ? Claim @ telco or apple store ? How u know its a refurbished set?

My home button malfuntion then claim warranty from Maxis. Check the serial shows it is refurbished. Warranty set using till now more than 6 months no problem.

I claim from Maxis 1 to 1 before. I get a refurbished unit.

Check SERIAL and show its refurbished ? How u check ? what serial ? imei ?

every iphone came with serial number, just check it at support over Apple.com

I tried to claim my iPhone 4s with maxis but unfortunately they not allowed bcs the tech will try to press the home button for ten times. If works. they won't give you a new set but still you can try. How serious is ur home button?

Normally you will get replacement if the phone has hardware issues like above mentioned. If they have ready stock you will get the replacement within 2hrs.(Maxis KLCC)

The refurb set is like new. Apple would have changed the casing and do all the necessary fix before releasing it to operators.

You will see it as a new iPhone, they will even open infront of you, no dent or scratches because they changed the casing and all the things that are broken inside already.

So he is correct when he says BRAND NEW UNOPEN PHONE. because it is partially correct 99.99% its refurbished and you can check by its serial number

Guys, anyone tried to claim warranty for the Maxis units with 2 years warranty? Coz Apple Self Solve only documents my warranty for 1 year. Anyone has any experience on this?

normally hard to press home button is NOT an issue in their eyes
so you wont get a new set for the home button...

unless ur home button press and cant go to home OR u got an insider to change new one for u OR u memang maki them kaw kaw and talk to their manager and really mad at them and make a fuss.... but the 3rd option, u malukan diri sendiri la [true story]

oh btw my friends iphone 3gs sent warranty AFTER the 1 year, around 1 year 6 month i think.

BTW a tip, if they say why your iphone reset factory settings,
say la you read in a forum and it said to reset to factory settings to get it to work again. it works [applies for the JB'ers]

one thing is for sure, you won't get a brand new unit in the retail packaging

bring the card only should be sufficient, the black and white maxis card

I know coz the claimed unit is come with a wrapper only, no other accessories included. And it doesn't look new to me.

Why would they ask the reason behind the phone being reset to factory settings? If I was going to send my phone for repair or exchange it within the warranty period, I would definitely erase all my data before doing so. It's just common sense to do so.

well, all I can say is my home button seem to be normal now. My warranty until May 2012 but Maxis extended to May 2013 so should be fine if anything happens to my phone right?

go apple website check for warranty. LOL If u are not under apple warranty, maxis will only give u technician number to fix ur iphone if u sign 2 years contract. next time ask the staff clearly. 1 to 1 exchange only applicable when it is under apple warranty.

I didn't encounter the problem but in this forum i heard someone complain before. Try search it. They complained maxis only give them the technician number and require them to find the technician by themselves. If under apple warranty, 100% can 1 to 1 exchange except water damage, screen crack and etc which under apple t&c.

how to check whether they got ready stock without walk in (maxis KLCC)?

my 4s wifi greyed out and showed no wifi
go to settings -> general -> about -> wifi address -> N/A

this should be the HW faulty, and need to send for warranty claim. but it will make me crazy, no phone and wait for 14 days.

previous using digi, they will put u on waiting list (if no stock), call u for 1-1 exchange when stock ready.

Yeap, same issue here, the power/sleep/wake button is hard to press with my 4S too. Very disappointed.

Nope. You won't get new unit. Replacement unit looks like new, but it's refurbished, or recond. Once followed a friend to berjaya Times Square to send his iPhone 4 for warranty because of speaker failure, and also send my cracked iPod touch over for a "new" unit (charged me rm300). What we got is refurbished unit, not in box, just nicely wrapped in plastic. Like new. No scratches at all.

i got problem with my iphone4s which is cannot use the wifi.. sometimes wifi cannot turn on and sometimes can turn on but cannot find any wifi signal.
is it hardware problem or just os problem?

Don't think they provide temporary phones. Just get a mirco sim to normal sim adapter for maybe 5 bucks and use it.

Facing the exact issue. Lodged a report in Maxis Sunway Pyramid last Tuesday (25th June). My phone has an Apple warranty of up to July 13th. But according to Maxis's system, their internal expiry was set at June 14th. A diligent employee named Nordon is handling my case. However I have not got a response so far. Fingers crossed.

It seems that software update 6.1.3. messes up the wifi. A quick browse in the Net showed that tonnes of users are facing the same issue.

Another one of Apple's screw ups perhaps, best part is, they're not admitting it. It is no wonder their stocks fell from USD 700 to below USD 400 in less than a year. No more Apple for me after this.

Just sent my iphone 5 to warranty due to sleep button got problem. Tuesday sent to TTDI Maxis centre and get a new one yesterday. Just took me 3days to get it done.

definitely not a new one, it's refurbished set. casing is new, but inside was old...

Ok la everything is new, only logic board is carried over.

I got new set from celcom after two claims warranty
First i need to wait 1 month for refurbished set
Then the refurbished set got screen problem, so i go rage at celcom centre, call their customer service , contact them online coz the service centre said i might be need to wait another 1 month, so after 5 days they call me and give me new from box , back home check not refurbished set and my warranty start on the day i claimed the phone (i bought at december but the new replacement set says march2014)
I guess im just lucky

My sister recently claimed from maxis under the 2 year warranty program.
Got 1 to 1 but obviously it was a refurbished unit.
Even checked the model code to identify the country the refurbished set was from and found it to be from Hong Kong.

i just bought Iphone 5s last week. When I plugged in the earphone, only right side is working while the other one not functioning. I just realized this problem few hours ago(because this is d first time I tried to plug in the earphone after I bought it under Maxis). I've tested the earphone to other device, both right and left earphone are functioning very well. So that means my earphone is not the main problem but the Iphone is. Can I claim the warranty so that everything will be ok again?

camera no longer able to focus. its not a software issue as i have fully wiped the device and also tried different version of IOS.

if you still have warranty then check if they can give immediate replacements.
