Eh can mount Sword and Launcher pack?

Added on February 27, 2012, 12:37 pmHmm actually the PC part used to connect the backpack (PC 2) is the same one used by Freedom, Strike Freedom and Strike variants

Love the pump action shot gun.
These minor alterations are somewhat unnecessary. They don't look particularly nice compared to the AEUG version, and they are pretty much non-functional either.

Added on February 28, 2012, 1:59 pmMG Duel's review up now at dalong.net
http://dalong.net/review/mg/m151/m151_p.htm

I'm surprised that it only got 98 points when most of the recent MGs tend to exceed 100.

It is indeed an awesome looking MG, yet somehow I don't like the fact that they deviated quite far away from the original Duel design.

Certain changes are good, such as the redesigned turrent cannon which can be held in the hand, the shoulder design which resembles the Strike's frame more, and of course sleeker proportions in particularly the chunkier-looking leg armours.

However some things shouldn't have been messed around, in particular the Assaultshroud's shoulder armour parts, the barrel of the rifle which now looks so skinny compared to the original large bore, the unnecessary and awkwardly-placed smoke grenades (??actually what are they??) on the top tail fin, and the additional ankle guards. The Duel's attraction is its simplicity and basic design - those ankle guards are redundant in stock mode.

It's still a very sweet-looking kit, but I'm gonna give it a miss. Save 4200 yen whistling.gif

I guess it follows Regen Duel's design, where the shoulder railgun become handheld.

Most probably signal flares instead of smoke grenades. To be used when communication jamming is in progress.

I noticed MG is smaller than its 1/100 NG counterpart

Hmmm guys, need a rather quick opinion since I decided to get back into Gunplaing. Between the Duel AS or Strike IWSP, which is considered better (both MGs)?

oh izzit? blink.gif

never came across those.. only seen this 1/60th scale model. dunno why the boxart have that 80's feel on it laugh.gif
*
Haha most probably u only start gunpla hobby after SEED series? The 1/144 and 1/100 one is quite old; first released around 1995-1996, with reissue around year 2000.

1/100 : http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN48288
1/144 : http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN48142

Hmm Duel's shoulder armors seems to have shrink similar to the MG

Haha I pointed out several pages back tongue.gif Since the backpack connector is same with Freedom and the part where they attach that connector also flat like Freedom and SF, so their backpack is interchangeable

I was eyeing for that one as well, just in case if they're selling it with a nice price laugh.gif

alas I came home devastated yesterday sleep.gif

nevertheless still hoping to hear day-to-day update from anyone smile.gif
most prolly due to current yen exchange rate icon_question.gif
*
Err current exchange rate actually lower than what it was in December (December was 4-ish, now less than 4). And MG Alex they have was the old stock, so it shouldn't be affected by currency exchange...

MG Alex 'mengikuti perkembangan semasa' laugh.gif
idk la, but i dont expect that one to rise in term of price as well.
MG Alex is and old kit-lah sleep.gif idk who wanted it, hehehe

Just my 2 cents.
that one, if im not mistaken around 6" right the height? comparative to marvel legends or any 6" figure, that is a very low price.

and if i remember it correctly, got three variance selling there right?
*
Actually if 'ikut perkembangan semasa', then its price should be cheaper than December 2011 sale since yen is higher in December 2011 compared to now

Guys! Do any of you have problem with yellowing white paint?
*
Hmm to prevent that u have to use the UV-something flat coat. But take notice to only use it on white (painted or not) parts because it also added slightly whitish powder on the surface thus making it not suitable for parts with color other than white

UV flat coat?!? Wow that is the first time I heard of such a thing. yawn.gif That proves that I am more of a noob that I thought. tongue.gif

Any link or picture of the said flat coat?

Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif
*
Naah noob here too (rarely paint my kits). The reason I know about it was I once mistook this for normal flat coat, and used it to coat my MG Strike Freedom, resulting in "snow" haha sad.gif

I thought flaking only occurs when you try to do top coat when it is humid. Does it really have anything to do with the UV topcoat you are using?

I have been using "Future" as topcoat for quite a while cause its cheap. I wonder if i can deal with the yellowing effect by switching to other brand of paint for the white.
*
Haha it's not flaking lah.. just that UV top coat will give slightly powdered look if u applied it on non-white area

QUOTE(Vorador @ Mar 12 2012, 05:58 PM)
what I planned to do is...

1. Spray a layer of premier white. (This one cheaper mah...)
2. Use weathering effect to do 'shading'
3. Spray my pearl white on.
4. top coat.

The reason I choose pearl white is because it's radiantly shining... .looks lovely....

Can I check with you, semi gloss or gloss top coat wont make your kit 'KILAT KILAT' !? I remember this is a big problem with Tamiya's normal spray can... after the spray it looks so plastic...  sad.gif

btw, tonight I will show 1 pic how I use weathering tool to do shading effect. not very obvious though sad.gif sad.gif
*
Eh I tot those 2 will make the kilat-kilat more apparent?

Haha if you want to be cheapskate, just get the normal 3-tier utility shelf and convert them, like what I did here : http://www.figure.fm/post/en/21186/Exiled_Gundam+s+room.html
